"I Just had Noe and his crew install a concrete patio with walkway and stairs around my house in Escondido. They laid rebar and finished the concrete forms I had started and did an excellent job. He was very responsive to my ideas and even was able to make some last minute changes to the set up I asked for. When the cement truck came, his team worked fast and clean, and our vision became a reality. For quality, communication, professionalism, attention to detail, and all for the best price,(I got 8 bids to compare) I highly recommend Noe and his team."

"I hired H&A Concrete to pour a 12' x 8' extension to an existing small concrete pad in my backyard to put a shed on as well as a side walkway running the length of the house that was previously just dirt. They were one of multiple bids I received. Hector was the first to respond, first to take a look and first to make a bid. The bid was very competitive, H&A is independently owned and local company, and concrete is what they do. This is why I ended up choosing them. Once I accepted their bid, I was scheduled for the end of the following week. The job took a few days total, two full days for demo/grading/form setup and half a day to pour and broom finish and then a quick trip out after a couple of days to remove the forms. They cleaned up everything and the concrete work is exactly what we agreed on. I would recommend H&A Concrete. I had a great experience with them."

"My backyard wood deck was trashed, water was trapped underneath. Evan came in cleaned it all out, replaced the deck with a concrete patio, with drainage. He also cleaned up, left the job immaculate! Looks wonderful! Highly recommend "

"Was to be an extensive concrete ramp & steps with brick inlay and bordered by brick retaining walls. Very professional start with large competent crew, heavy machinery. Concrete was poured & paid for 7/19/24 with restart planned in 4+ days. Then nothing. 8/2 "Truck problems". 8/6 still no cleanup, no progress or plan forward. Front walkway/door inaccessible. 8/10 prelim notice from unpaid concrete supplier. Contractor finally shows up again - bricklayer quit, can't find another or a subcontractor. 9/6 release from concrete supplier and an employee sent to do some cleanup. Agree to close out contract for $16,000 paid with no retaining walls, slots in ramps for inlay brick still needing grinding to proper depth, no banister on steps, major cleanup undone."

"PBH did several house projects for me, including installing gutters and fancy fascia under my roof eaves. The work was perfect and all the workmen were polite, neat and clearly dedicated to making a perfect finished product. When they left, they cleaned up my entire yard. I would definitely rehire this company! "

"Mariano, who is also MB Concrete, did an amazing job. They removed a mature queen palm, hauled away all material and debris after demo and poured a great slab to extend my patio by a few hundred square feet! This was a pro job! Dump and bobcat, concrete truck, you name it! Rebar was tied into the existing slab and it looks like it was part of the original pour! I’d hire them again! "

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Spring Valley, CA

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
