I never write reviews, as a matter of fact this is the first review I have ever written but I was so pleased with my experience with A1 Guaranteed Roofing I had to write one up so others will know what a great company A1 is.

First, I hired A1 because of the reviews on Angie's List.  Next, I am an ex-Customer Service Manager for a large national company so my expectations are rather high compared to most. Further, dealing with companies in the construction sector can be intimidating, and rightfully so, especially when it comes to high end transactions like roofing.

My experience with A1 Guaranteed Roofing was exceptional, I couldn't be happier. We had a large hail storm that damaged our roof. I called A1 and they promptly visited my home and provided an accurate and informational assessment of the damage. They provided more than ample information to help me decide on what type of materials to use and even helped me sort out issues with the claims adjusters. Their customer service is second to none. From the estimating process to the payment process, everyone there I spoke with was very nice and an absolute pleasure to deal with. The new roofing materials were delivered a day early and their installers arrived exactly when they were supposed to. And speaking of the installers, they were fantastic! Very professional and pleasant to deal with. And the final product looks amazing!!!!!

Residential construction projects always seem to have issues, but not when dealing with A1. They have given me hope that there are still great people in that industry to deal with. I will NEVER use another roofing contractor other than A1 and encourage anyone reading this review to call them for your roofing needs. I've dealt with other roofers in the past and they don't compare to A1.

I can't say enough good things about them, some of the nicest people I have EVER dealt with and they did a FANTASTIC job!!!!!

"Breanna helped me with looking at possible damage on my roof, I typicallyyy don?t speak with anyone doing sales but my neighbor Allen had spoke highly of her, the man?s a doctor so I always trust his judgment. Sure enough she came over right after helping him and was so very helpful. Never pressured me and gave me plenty of information to go over with my husband. He isn?t a doctor like Allen but I did marry the man so I still will have to speak to him first before making a financial decision."

"We had storm damage to our roof and our insurance adjuster was only allowing minimal repairs. We contacted Roof Masters Remodeling for an estimate on the repairs and they came out & noted several more areas of storm damage that the insurance adjuster didn’t acknowledge. They organized another appointment with the insurance adjuster & they all re-evaluated our roof. At the end, they were able to get us a full complete new roof with our insurance claim. VERY THANKFUL we didn’t just settle for the insurance adjuster’s analysis.....Gary S"

"Travis' roofing team showed up early and got to work.  The job went quickly and professionally.  The roofers were careful to clean up everything before they left.  They really did a good job I had another roofer come and inspect their work and he said everything was done correctly to uphold the shingles factory warranty.  Apparently many roofers cut cost by using an inferior top shingle for the ridge causing the shingle's warranty to be void.
I would use Duraplex roofing in the future.

FAQs for heating cable for roof installation projects in Springfield, MO

A typical heat cable uses 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Choosing between heated gutters and roof heating cables usually comes down to budget, appearance, and performance. Heated gutters cost less to install and blend seamlessly with your home’s exterior, making them a discreet, lower-cost option for preventing ice dams. Roof heating cables deliver more customizable and powerful heat along roof edges to handle heavy snow and ice, but they require more material and labor, increasing your upfront investment. Evaluate your roof design, winter weather demands, and energy budget to select the system that works best for your property.

Roof heating cables prevent ice dams by melting snow and stopping ice buildup at the roof edge. Ice damming occurs when melting snow refreezes on a cold roof—often right above the gutter line—and blocks water from draining, which can force moisture under shingles into your home. Heating cables maintain a warm channel that clears ice dams as soon as they form and protects your roof from water damage and structural issues.

Roof heating cables last between two and ten years before replacement is needed, wearing out faster than your roof itself. Their lifespan depends on climate severity, cable type, and exposure to physical damage. Consistent inspections and preventative maintenance—such as clearing debris, tightening clips, and checking electrical connections—can extend their service life and ensure reliable snow and ice protection each winter.

To safely remove snow from your roof, start with a specially designed roof rake, standing firmly on the ground and pulling snow downhill rather than climbing onto the roof. You can also apply calcium chloride ice melt to break up stubborn ice or gently use a secured rope from a safe vantage point.

Keep in mind that large snow slabs can weigh hundreds of pounds and pose a serious fall risk. If conditions are hazardous or you lack the right equipment, hire a professional to protect your safety and your roof’s integrity.
