"I called Roto-Rooter with slow drains in the basement in our recently purchased house (20 years old with a 1000 gal septic tank). The quoted me $185.00 service call which included the use of their sewer-cam to investigate before doing any digging. In short, they suspected tree roots had infiltrated the tank and distribution box. Uncovering the two septic tank lids and distribution box confirmed this. They were there the next morning to pump out the septic tank ($300.00, quoted in advance)and rinse it well.
