We did not have to wait weeks or months for them to begin work and we have exactly what we asked for. We requested a stamped concrete patio that looked like brick, and it looks better than expected. "We live in Potomac Md and utilized â  58 Foundations for the installation of a sump pump, french drain and various other water damage prevention measures. Sheldon was our technician and he was absolutely exemplary. Completely honest, extremely thoughtful, did exactly what he said he would do and did it very well . We were initially a bit surprised by the price quote, but we wanted to go with a high-quality window and window well.  Also, the quality of the work performed by Travis Graham and his crew member was outstanding. In cold, wet December weather they excavated 6 feet down to the foundation footer and cut through the foundation to install our vinyl egress window and MarFlex window well.  Travis Graham always came to our house with a smile and a good attitude.  Right after we signed the contract, Travis went to his normal vendor and discovered that they no longer kept the window well we wanted in stock.  He found out that the window well had to be ordered and  the price would be higher than what was originally quoted. Instead of raising our price, Travis honored the contract by absorbing the extra cost.  Graham Restoration also went the extra mile and not only filled in the hole they dug, but also grated and seeded the dirt.

As an aside, we found out that Graham Restoration hangs Christmas lights for a small fee.  We had them outline the front of our house with lights we had bought, and they also took them down for us.  I think we had one of the best looking houses on the block.

Honest contractors that perform quality work are hard to find.  I highly recommend using Graham Restoration for your next project.

Within 2 hours of requesting an estimate we were contacted by the company and they were out that afternoon to look at the project.  We had an estimate within 2 days. We had an extremely hard deadline that we needed them to meet so they agreed to start within a week. 

Carlos and his team were very pleasant to work with. They took their shoes off when entering the house.  My home office is also in the space where the construction was taking place and they were very conscientious of the noise level.  They left the compressors outside and just ran the hoses into the house.  They kept the music to a minimum and allowed me to work without apologizing to my clients for the noise.  They knocked on the door when they had questions and were very polite.

Quality was rated based on the following issues:

1. The tiling in the shower was done before they test fitted the faucets.  Unfortunately the new fixtures did not fit the existing pipes so the tile, backer board, and the drywall on the opposing wall all had to be ripped out and redone. 

2. They started to install the vanity lighting off center of the vanity.  It wasn't until I pointed out the issue that they did anything about the placement.  I thought that should have been standard for the industry.

3. The light switch in the bathroom (three switch plate) was non-standard given that one of the knobs was a round switch for the heater.  When a plate could not be found for this setup it was just left uncovered.  It would have been nice to receive some recommendations on how to fix the situation but, instead, we troubleshooted the problem ourselves and told them how we wanted it fixed. 

All issues were resolved to our satisfaction.

4.  On the positive side, we did request a few change orders and those were also met within our timeframe.  We requested that an additional light be added above the bathtub and they were able to accommodate that request. 

5. We asked that they install a new light fixture and paint the stairwell leading to the basement and they added that to the SOW as well. 

6. We requested that they lay the flooring we had purchased and intended to install ourselves but ran out of time.  They brought in a crew on Saturday to make sure this got done for us. 

Overall it was a good experience.  We were so pleased that they worked long hours to make sure to meet our deadline.  Our incoming family enjoyed the space immensely and we could not be more pleased with the feel of our new space.

"After a ridiculous estimate from a prior contractor, whom I fired, I called G&G and another local company.  Both came out for estimates as scheduled.  G&Gs estimate was a hair higher, but I felt more comfortable with them than the other company.
Amanda was easily reachable and everything was easily scheduled around my personal schedule.
The crew arrived early the day of the job and promptly began to work.  They didn't mind at all that I watched, as I wanted to see the damaged plywood they'd be removing.  The main roof was completed in a day.  The sunroof roof and gutters were completed the next day.  Due to weather, the shutters were installed on the third day.  A few bits and pieces of the sunroof work were left behind, but nothing to complain about.
Although the other estimate for the main roof was a tad higher than the other company, the sunroom roof and gutter prices easily made up for it.  They also sent out a guy to pressure wash the house after the work was complete....fabulous!!!
I look forward to working with them again on further projects...and highly recommend them to other Angie's List members.
