"I put in a request to replace my mailbox. I was quoted a price of $ 450. Prior to agreeing to pay for the job, I asked the business to give me a breakdown of what I would be paying for the work (I.e. replace the post, pick up materials, disposal of old mailbox, etc.) I did not receive a response after that. I make it a practice not to pay anyone until I see a breakdown of what I’m paying for. While I cannot accuse him of doing so, I did not want a situation in which someone would go out, pick out a mailbox for me, take off the old one, put the new one on the old post and leaving me to deal with the disposal of the old one for $450. Just didn’t work out for me with this contractor."

"Keith did a great job helping us obtain the building permit, explaining the decking options, and designing the deck. The deck completely covers old concrete steps and makes entrance into our home much easier. Keith used Trex material for the deck, which is maintenance free; he negotiated a good deal with the supplier for the color which closely matched our other deck. He suggested a local electrician for us to consult about lights along the stairs. Keith communicated with us in a timely basis and we always knew his schedule. Lou and his team did a number of things through the project to make sure that all would go smoothly (including leaving a generator here after the hurricane knocked out power for a week). "From beginning to end, it was a great experience -- surprisingly great, in fact.  Our garage was getting old, and we were trying to figure out what do do about it.  We invited Mr. Harris out to our house and -- surprise # 1 -- he seemed far more interested in helping us figure out what actually needed to be done than in talking us into hiring him.  We agreed that the roof needed replacing, but -- surprise # 2 -- he didn't want a materials deposit until he could give us a firm start date.  He estimated that he could get to it in about four weeks but -- surprise # 3 -- actually got to it much earlier than that.  He gave us a start date and -- surprise # 4 -- the crew showed up and did the work on the promised day.  And the roof looks just terrific -- which, after surprises 1-4 -- really wasn't a surprise at all!  We've already hired him for a number of other projects and can't say enough good about his work & his service!!!!!!"
