"I hired DB Construction to build my new home. First the quote purposely left out many thing that they could charge me for that I would have thought would be included, equipment needed, like truck and trailer, and excavating equipment. Plus the house quote did not quote a finished house, but just the shell with sheetrock, then everything else cost way more than a fair price. The build dragged on for about 20 months. Derek said it was the subs fault, but when I talked to the subs they had a different story. Derek was using the money I paid him for something other than my job. He said he had paid for things he had not even ordered, and when I needed them, they were not available. He was charging me for things he said he bought for my house ,but would not show me the bills. when I pushed and pushed I found that he had overcharge me on many things by adding more than a standard management markup and in some cases he charged me for things that I had already paid for. Now I'm dealing with two big issues, I have had calls from two subs saying they were getting ready to put a lien on my property for material that I paid Derek for in 2016 and they had not been paid by the end of 2017 yet. I keep trying to get Derek to provide me with lien releases for my project, but have not received them yet in 2018. I am also not getting DB Construction to fix the items I paid and they have not fixed the punch list yet. There is major cracking (1/4 inch) in many of the rooms where the roof trusses have shifted or sagged. Cracking and dropping of ceiling has caused my closet door not to close anymore. The Project is at least 1k over what it should have cost and the garage is not finished. I have had to hire someone else to finish the work. If you do decide to hire him for anything, be sure to get every detail in writing and definitely get a penalty in the contract for not completing on time. Since my project was over a year behind, and in fact never finished. Also lock down the management fee and what you will and won't pay for such as (drinking water, fixing their mistakes, tools or saw blades they need, and alway only hire him on a bid for the job, not time and material. Anything extra you want, get it in writing what it will cost and how much time it will add to the project. His worker are very nice, but don't expect to see Derek out at the project. He almost never visited the site of my project."

"Evergreen onsite performed the service. They sent two techs for the emergency issue of sewage backing up into my house. One of the techs made my daughter feel creepy when he asked if he could look around the property he would love to live here and hunt from his front yard and also asked if she lived at the house along with her mother. I have used this company multiple times to pump and inspect my current house system when purchasing this house and used their pump and inspection for my prior house before the sale. I had a great experience for those prior usages. This time was totally different and I will never use their services again!! They charged me $297 for a tech to come out and diagnose the problem and then told me I needed to pump the one tank so an electrician could come and diagnose the problem because they could not tell me what was wrong. I spoke to the tech over the phone before he left and he gave me a quote of $550.00 to pump what was needed to be pumped from the first tank so the electrician could diagnose the problem of why the pump and alarm to the tank was not working. When the pump truck came the next day he pumped all of the tanks and cost jumped to 1100.00. I called the company and asked why the cost jumped to that much and they told me that they quoted that amount the day before which was incorrect and they would not leave until the full amount was paid immediately. I asked why they pumped the incorrect amount and they told me that for health reasons they had to pump what they did they then told me they would take off 10 percent which made the total bill 1000.00."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Stanwood, WA

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
