"My husband and I were in the market for windows and we shopped around before deciding upon Life Time. After numerous presentations from other companies, we decided we could get the best bang for our buck from Life Time. The salesperson was informational and professional. We are very happy with our decision and our new windows."

"Jim is extremely friendly and responsive. However, as the weeks stretched into months - and he increased the costs of services twice, my patience grew thin. It took nearly 3 months for 2 bathroom renovations. And throughout the process Jim and his team kept asking us basic questions you would think a home contractor would know.
One of the questions was "how high do you want your shower curtain bar?" It's literally a standard size (75-77 inches). When I came home, it was installed ~6 feet off the ground. I'm 6'4 and was pretty confused why it was so low. I had to ask them to move it.
Similar experience with them placing mirrored medicine cabinets. One bathroom has them so low I can't see my face without squatting. The other bathroom (because we complained) has it so high my wife can't see her face.
Jim subs out most of his work. We were very lucky that his tile crew did an exceptional job. The rest of the work is pretty mediocre for the price we paid.
"

"I purchased a deal on Angie's list to have my two-story colonial house in Arnold, MD (with semi-detached garage) reroofed with architectural grade shingles. I had to double the roofing area available under the deal, but they gave me a pro-rated amount with a modest extra charge because of the 10/12 pitch.
In all it was a 31-square job and included stripping the roof, replacing a skylight, removing a skylight and 13 sheaths of plywood due to rot. The contractor was very accommodating, we had to reschedule because we had to wait to have solar hot water panels removed before the roofing commenced.
The crew was done in a day, with very little mess. I lost a tomato plant due to a shingle falling on it, but was surprised at how clean the area was around the house. The crew also installed permanent roof anchors, that I had purchased myself to facilitate easier access to the roof for later installation of solar panels.
In all, I am extremely pleased with the work and the price.

"

"Craig was the second contractor out of three to come to conduct a free inspection of my basement. I contacted his company for services after I noticed water coming through holes in the cinder blocks of my basement unfinished wall created by the prior owner having a closet system installed in this area. What attracted me to his company Initially was the personable service portrayed by his website and with speaking with him. I had already pressumed that the sump pump didn't work correctly and the basement needed to be sealed properly due to me noticing a lot of insects and snake skin in this area. Of course I learned it was worse than I thought. The difference with this company service compared to the other compainies that I had come to conduct an inspection was very noticeable. When Craig came to my home he asked me questions to get a perspective of what issues I was really dealing with. Being that I had only been the owner of my home for a year I could only suspect what the issues were. Yet, Craig immediately took a look at the sump pump and showed me that it was definietly not properly working. He also observed all four walls and the current water drain system in place and explain how it was doing nothing for releasing the water pressure in the walls. (The first contractor I had didn't touch a thing!) Craig also listened to my concerns of the house potentially not being properly sealed and advised that he should conduct a inspection of exterior as well. Craig was the only contractor that took the information I provided and showed me how the water tracks on the wall displayed that as I suspected, the exterior was not properly sealed and was allowing water to flow over the wall and not just the holes in the motor joints of the wall. I was told adamantly by first contractor that my issue would be resolved by installing the water drain system to the interior of the house only. But as Craig showed during the performance of the work, my floor board to the basement had rotted away and created a hole to allow water (and the snake) directly into the unfinished basement area. I am greatly satisfied with work performed by Craig and his crew. Since the work has been performed I have not seen a trickle of water in my basement! Additionally, I have to say it was great to have familiar face appear with the crew, in that Craig (whom is also the owner) was in attendance of the work being performed and supervised the entire process. I admit that this display of work ethic reaffirmed to me that the job was being done right! I believe that I was given a fair price for the work and got even more. I was quoted at a $1000.00 more with the first contractor and that was just for the interior drain system on the front wall! I am certain that I went with the right company and that my water issues have certainly been solved. Thanks Craig to you and your crew; and a wonderful job well done!
"

"My house was broken into leaving a broken window in my kitchen. I called these guys and within 2 days, they came out to fix the window. They arrive right on time, did the install, cleaned up after themselves and left. I was very pleased. They quoted me one price initially and then charged me a different price, when I called to clarify, they honored the original price quoted to me.
"

"
Week of 4/13/2015

Last winter was exceptionally harsh for our area. We had a concrete block basement wall start to bow inward due to water freezing under a large patio. John & his Allmaster team worked in concert with a licensed structural engineer to place a set of steel I beams against the wall to stabilize and ultimately completely straighten the wall.

The engineering design required the I beams to be on footers under our basement slab.

While the basement slab was excavated we also had a drainage system installed. The job went very well & smoothly. John's team took care to erect plastic dust barriers so the basement did not get dirty from the concrete work.

The wall stabilizers used by John were of superior quality compared to those used other contractors. See Richtech Industries (http://www.richtechindustries.com).

This was a very involved job that went very well.

We should note that Allmaster offers a lifetime guarantee on the waterproofing drainage system and a 25 year guarantee on foundation work both transferrable to the next owners.

Update:

John stopped by 9/2/2015 to tighten the I beams and all appear completely straight.

"

"Ken responded immediately to a promotion advertised on Angie's List. Ken arrived promptly and evaluated the job. I ran out of shoe moulding and he quickly made a trip to Home Depot to finish the job. Incorrectly installed moulding and flooring was brought to my attention and fixed.
Very professional and his lead carpenter was also professional, efficient and detail-oriented.
"

"When I contacted Matt he was out to see us within a few days. Not like other companies where you need to make an appointment and wait a week or two. Matt was very professional and he explained to us exactly what he was going to do. He did not try to sell us on any additional work. When Matt and team arrived to replace our roofs, they were very well organized. Matt worked along with his team as well not just overseeing the work. Matt kept me updated throughout the whole project, all work was completed the same day. We feel the total price was reasonable and within the range that we expected. I would highly recommend SLD Installations for any future projects. Thank you Matt, you and your team did a great job!"
