I sought 4 bids for this project, including from a well-known company where I was a repeat customer, where the other contractors were either no-shows, unprofessional or demanding of expensive prep requirements before considering the project. "Hire these guys! Nick and his crew are fantastic. We have two big dogs, one of which can jump pretty high, and we needed to install a fence shortly after closing on our new house. The terrain around the property is very difficult as the lot pretty much sits on top of a limestone deposit. Working with a crew of 3 men over four days, Nick dug all of the post holes and hand-built the fence on rocky, uneven ground. I think there was only one level spot in the entire yard! The guys said that this was one of the nicest fences they've ever built, and one of the toughest jobs. The estimate seemed spot on for the amount of work and specifications that I was looking for. After speaking with others who have had fences built recently, they paid as much, if not more, for fencing that wasn't as nice and on easier ground to work with. Nick will work with you to get to a price that fits with your budget and design that you were hoping for. He was quick to return emails, showed up on time for the estimate, and spent an hour walking the property and talking things through with me. He will be back in a few weeks to stain the fence and I can't wait to see it all finished. "The initial appraisal went great. The installation went well (1 day) with just a couple issues were I thought they rushed the job. I had to tighten parts of the coated wiring where there was gaps so my children/dogs would not get there parts stuck in them. They had to come back and fix the hinges on the 8' gate which were not secure. They also had to cut off the tops of 2 4x4's which they forgot to cut off near 1 of the gates. Then most recently I found that they had thrown all the scrap pieces of 2x4 / 4x4's in my wooded area just beyond the area they fenced in. Their response to this email was ridiculous.....the workers didn't know it was your yard, they thought no one would ever notice. The owner Don has a short temper apparently and his wife Janine does the one on one communication. Other than these issues, which sealed the fact that I wouldn't be recommending them to anyone, their work was done well."

"GRD Pro Contractors is a family owned business consisting of two brothers and their father.      I cannot say enough good about their capabilities and their level of customer service.     I only wish more contractors worked by this method of respectful, professional customer service, quality effort and workmanship, trustworthiness, appropriate business management, esp. contracts, invoicing and payment.     The largest job was the first, and  even though it was a small apartment there was a tremendous amount of work to be done.     I hired them because they could do everything required, even light electric and plumbing, and they gave a competitive bid.    They prepared an excellent contract, told me when they were going to work, brought in a team, worked diligently and effectively, and the finished result was a totally different space it was so excellent.     Mickey allowed me to review photo choices (eg. for flooring and lighting), which I really liked.    He has done that on subsequent jobs.    They also worked with me when I had to return an appliance to a big box store.     They stuck with me until all issues on the checklist were complete. <br> <br>I know contractors all like the big jobs, but GRD Pro returned two times again willingly on less expansive projects.     That speaks to their character that they are interested in building a business relationship with their client for many return visits. <br> <br>They were idea for me to work with, as I am not handy, and need someone to get me through the whole project from start to finish without having anxiety about any part of it.      I know they are getting busier and taking on more work, and I hope that I can keep them for other upcoming projects. <br>  <br>They would be contractors that I would feel comfortable partnering with in redoing houses or ongoing projects.    That says an awful lot!!"

"Everything was done to near perfection. <br /> Exterior of house trim, etc. is perfect. <br /> Kitchen looks nearly new, and repairs were excellent. <br /> Family room ceiling is excellent match. <br /> WIndow sills, hand rail installation and shower wall repair are good. <br /> Only glitch is the surface of the upper stair bannister paint, after two attempts, is not completely holding paint. <br /> Contractor offered to try a third time, but the homeowners were preparing to move. <br /> The outside water proofing of the foundation not only looks great, but through two heavy rains, there has been no water <br /> in the basement."

Scott Hess actually designed and built my railing. He added decorative touches that showed just how artistic and talented he really is. It was sooo worth the money we paid, because sometimes when you think you're paying for quality, it turns out to be the exact opposite. <br /> Not so with this company.
