"These people are nothing but rotten no good theives. Chris took a down payment of $2100 from my parents to get materials for a fence 2 months ago, now he will not come do the work. They have called him and every time he says he will be there a specific day he never shows up. My parents asked for their money back since Chris obviously wasn’t going to do the job and he said no. If you want your work to actually get done and not be screwed over go with another company. GFY Chris"

"Working on older homes, particularly those approaching 100 years, takes a special skill set. We found out the hard way that not all home painters and restoration “experts” know how to deal with an old one. Jeff and his team are amazing and easy to work with. Jeff is onsite doing the actual work every day which is a huge benefit. He is good at problem solving on the job and works really hard. An excellent painter, he takes on a project as though it was his own home. And he is completely honest and fair, which is rare. The exterior of our old house looks fabulous and we will have him back to attack the interior. We would highly recommend him."

"My experience with Liz was very poor. Early on she showed us a nice design and what we thought was a fair price. She represented herself as the designer and project manager. She brought in a GC that we were told she would manage. We gave Liz all of the specs for the appliances that we picked out. Once the renovations started we figured out very quickly that she did not factor in the specs on the appliances that we had ordered. On the install date of the appliances not one appliance could be installed because she did not have the space ready and to spec. She was not managing the contractors and she became very difficult to get to respond to questions or concerns. Thankfully the GC stepped up and took control of the situation. She also drew us a very nice built in refrigerator and wine fridge cabinet but what was installed was not what she had showed us. It was radically different. She refused to take responsibility for it so we released her and had to find another contractor to step in and finish it. Over all we had to pay much more than we expected, the project did not go smoothly at all, and we did not get the service or the result that we expected. This was not a small job, all in it was over $100K. I have never dealt with a less professional person."

"BAD EXPERIENCE. We bought all new windows for our house in spring, 2017 through AVI – Alpharetta, GA. We considered this and it was represented by the AVI sales rep as an “investment” for many years of worry-free repair and enhancement of our windows,. We paid $47,000 of which we financed $25,000 through a bank AVI had an arrangement with. Because of a misunderstanding, we had to pay $22,000 in interest to settle that loan (loan was represented to be interest free), so in the end our total cost was $69,000. The work that was done had various problems with measurements and installations and several items needed to be redone. It took over 6 months for completion with lots of changes and frustrations along the way. Within 4 years one of the windows became cloudy and we called for warranty replacement. We were told that window had not been included in the proposal although we had asked all windows be included and were advised by our sales rep contact they had been - turns out he had missed including that one window; he had left the company just before we submitted that claim; we had to find and pay someone else to replace that window. Now, 7 years after installation, another window, in a door, has become cloudy. We filed another claim and were told that window was out of warranty and would not be replaced. Again, we thought we had plenty of years of warranty - “last window work you will need for this house” is what we were told. Very frustrating and disappointing experience with AVI. Before proceeding with them, a prospective customer needs to be sure to understand all warranties (turns out different products used for us had different length of warranties, as short as only 3 years) and don't use their financing source without fully understanding how it works."

"A shower leak welcomed me home from a New Year’s vacation with a large stain on the ceiling in the living room and an unusable shower in the primary bathroom. Several weeks later after a back and forth with my insurance company I was able to get the bathroom and ceiling repaired! Enter my friends at BDM Residential Remodeling They came in, found all of the trouble especially after the insurance adjuster didn’t even look up into the ceiling and worked with me to fix all of the previous problems and give me a bathroom that’s magazine ready! Bret Mellen Jennifer Reisman Slutzky and the entire BDM team were easy to work with, professional and went out of their way to listen to me and give me the bathroom of my dreams. If you live in the North Georgia Metro Atlanta area and are in the need of a contractor being it a kitchen, bathroom, refinished basement, etc, give Bdm Associates LLC a call! I highly recommend them."

This company started during the pandemic while I was pursuing my university degree. Tough times create great leaders, and in rare cases, companies like ours emerge. We managed to target potential clients who needed home renovations. As people spent many days at home, they noticed the need for a new interior design, furniture, or changes that would meet the new reality of the pandemic and could be aesthetically functional for their homes. That's where we came in, and we'll continue to meet all of our client's requirements.
