He explained in detail what treatments he was going to put on the lawn. Matthew did a very thorough job making sure he treated all areas of our lawn. Rutland Turf has some very good equipment for their techs to use, and Matt was adept at using the ride-on lawn spreader/sprayer. We're very pleased with his work today! We have a small landscaping project that we'll be contacting Rutland about. After seeing the quality of their work today, we won't hesitate to have them give us a price for another project."

"We used this company a few years ago and had a good experience. This year they came out and gave us a quote for a lawn program. We paid in advance for the aeration/overseeding and all the fall lawn treatments and then never heard back from the company. After a few weeks we called the business line and the owner/manager's cell phone and he never called us back. We called both more than once and even told the receptionist that we were going to have to cancel the service and ask for a refund and he did not call us back. Finally we cancelled the service and asked for a refund. Now it's probably too late to hire someone else. Very disappointing."

"About 2 years ago we hired Topping Landscaping after a steady decline in service from our long-time lawn service. Ron visited us within a day of our initial inquiry and provided an itemized and very fairly priced quote for a variety of services that we requested. Since then Topping has shown up every week, even during the current drought when they may arrive then decide the lawn doesn't need mowing. They are meticulous in mowing, weed-whacking and blowing away debris, and they do an excellent job of cleaning up leaves in spring and fall. Where they have shined the brightest is in maintenance of our numerous flower beds: clean, deep edging, very thorough weeding, and plentiful, even mulching. Ron also suggested lining a couple weed-prone areas with nice-looking large stones, and that has made a huge difference in ease of maintenance as well as appearance. We are now moving to a new home and will be out of Topping's service area, but if we could we would definitely keep them onboard for the new home.
