"They were great to work with. Dana completely understood my project and sent me a very fair bid the next day. The work was completed the following week, exactly as promised. Dean and AJ were great; very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely call Jensen with future electrical needs."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Kitchen and Bath Solutions did a great job remodeling our kitchen and we are very happy with the end result! I wish I could say it was an easy process and each stage of the remodel went smoothly, but the truth is, we experienced quite a few hiccups along the way, and what should have been a 2-3 week remodel ended up taking 7. With that being said, however, we were very impressed with the way Dane handled each problem that arose and how hard he worked to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. This project was a big monetary investment for us, and Initially we were nervous about the cost and what we would be getting for our money, but as the project went on we could see we were paying for quality work, as well as the assurance that if problems arose they would be taken care of, because they were! Dane has a great team of workers who each had a specialty and did their part of the remodel very well...Zach, Stoney, Kyle, Troy, and Cam were all awesome to work with and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. Dane and his crew cared as much about the end result as we the homeowners did. It was at times a stressful process, but it was all worth the end result of our beautiful kitchen, and I would use Kitchen and Bath Solutions again!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Story City, IA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
