Justin (owner) not only was helpful on phone, but was early on start date and was the one who took up old driveway and hauled it away before rest of crew showed up from an early pouring job. Driveway was poured next morning and finished third morning with framing removed. "I called Ames Concrete and I spoke directly with Dennis, the owner.  He was an absolute professional, and we set up an appointment for him to stop by and give us an estimate on our first call.  He arrived as advertised, and my wife and I gave him an idea as to what we were looking for in terms of the patio.  He immediately painted the design we envisioned on the grass, and then he gave us the various options available for the patio.  We discussed details of timelines, the fact that a bobcat couldn't fit through our fence (meaning that his crew would have to wheel barrow all of the concrete and sand from the from yard), he took measurements, and we decided on a stamp design, color, and finish.   <br /> He delivered the estimate via email the next day - and it was exactly what we were expecting, and right on our budget.  We were looking for a 16'x32' patio, and Dennis delivered an estimate at under $11 per square foot.  We liked Dennis and his product so much that we actually requested a modification to the estimate, as we wanted to make the patio even larger than originally planned. "Initially the project began fine. I was given an estimate with a detailed scope and a date for when work would begin. When it was close for the work to begin, I had to send an email confirming the scheduled date was still good. I did not get a response until that date had come and gone. I recieved a confirmation that the work would begin on the actual day work began which was a week later. As for the work itself, the driveway was sealed but the cracks were not patched. I actually had one crack that was sealed with what looks like powerwash sediment run off in it. I sent 2 separate emails and was asked to send in pictures of the cracks ( I had requested someone meet me on my property in person)as it is hard to take pictures of the cracks. There was also no communication given on how long to stay off of the driveway. They did come out and fix some of the cracks (I don't think that crack filled with sediment/runoff was patched). I feel as though I as a customer shouldn't have had to work as hard as I did to coordinate the work and what would have happened if I hadn't double checked that the cracks were indeed patched? I am not sure if I would hire them again. It all will come down to how the product holds up."
