"I initially contacted my roofing company to replace my broken and leaking skylight. Although they gave me an estimate and accepted a partial payment from me, I couldn't get them to call me with details on the scope of the work (regarding the kind of skylight they planned to put in) or to actually schedule the installation. Finally I called a 2nd company, and they also failed to follow through with promises to call and schedule the work, which they had said they would handle as an emergency. But then I found The Skylight Guys on Angie's List and called them. This was on a Friday afternoon in August during the monsoon season. They returned my call on Saturday, and on Sunday The Skylight Guys were at the house to take a look and give me a recommendation and an estimate. I got the estimate on Monday for their best quality skylight, which came in slightly less than the estimate I got from my (ex)roofing company. On Thursday The Skylight Guys came back to complete the work. It was so refreshing to have a company respond to my call and follow through with the things they said they would do, and do it professionally and punctually and with a great attitude. I would use this company again."

"Avoid at all costs! Incompetent workmanship from start to finish. Took over a month to reinstall correctly. Tried to tell me that "panels working properly upon reinstall" was not in his contract. Extremely unpleasant to work with. Used all my spare roof tiles without asking. Honestly looked like he was figuring it out as he went. Hire someone else."

"They provided a two price quote after a comprehensive, onsite assessment of the work to be completed. One price ($1075 approx.) to reduct 2/3s of the house. The second price quote ($2700 approx.) was to reduct the entire house. A month later after I was ready to initiate the job, they advised that they couldn't do the work (reduct entire house) at the price originally quoted. Not only did they not commit to completing the work at the quoted price ($2700), they indicated a reluctance to complete the job as quoted (reduct entire house) telling me that a complete reducting of the house really wasn't necessary although the technician who provided the original quote strongly advised getting a full and complete reducting of the house since they'd already be reducting 2/3s of it. Now that the ceiling has been demo'ed (soffit removal) I have to find a new contractor to do the work. Epic has no integrity."
