"He received the notice early on Saturday morning and called within an hour. He was at my house to get the estimate done an hour after that. We agreed to have the install done the following Friday to give him time to get the permits done. He and his son we exactly on time and the price was actually lower than I anticipated. A totally professional job. This guy is on my list for my next electrical job."

"I must admit that I was very nervous hiring an electrician. Past experiences have taught me that you never know how crazy expensive they will turn out to be, or how unprofessional. However, with Good Ole Boyz Electric, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were their prices right, but so was their service. I hired them to replace the outlet and after their service today, I will hire them for any other electrical needs. I can sincerely recommend them for any electrical needs. They were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable."

"Everything went really smooth. Larry & Aaron really know what they’re doing. We needed to add a GFCI receptacle and they had to cut into the exterior of our home. They also added a circuit switch for a generator hookup. This was no simple electrical work and it took some expert skill. These guys KNOW what they’re doing and will be my go to electricians in the future. HIGHLY recommend!"

"I put in my claim with choice home warranty and CHW setup an appointment for/with Demond electric company The technician arrived I paid the required service fee charge (the service fee varies per state -i have used CHW in 3 different states and the service fee was affordable for the 3 different states) The Demond Electric technician Paul was very very professional, polite, knowledgeable and did a great job."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Sunset Beach, NC

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
