"My kitchen and bathroom custom cabinets look amazing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of these cabinets is superb. Leigh’s Construction made flat front panel -natural white oak cabinets for a modern look .. some kitchen cabinets have a glass door with white oak framing. I have received so many compliments on the cabinets because they look absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend this company."

"The entire process went very well. I would reccommend Pullouts Plus to anyone who wanted to update their kitchen and make everyday chores alot easier for a very reasonable price.. In fact, as an example of Dave Taylor going the extra mile without thinking twice about it for several weeks I have had a bit of a loose seat on my main bathroom. I rarely use this bathroom but all my guests do. Dave adjusted it and didn't mention it until this 2nd visit in which he installed my shelves. I did notice when cleaning the bathroom that the seat seemed to have tightened up and now I know why. Overall a very pleasant experience from start to finish. High quality work completed very promptly and with thorough clean up. I have been thinking about getting my cabinets refaced and I now know who I'll call to do the work."

"I showed them a photo of the table on my smart phone and discussed the job and set a date to bring the table in.  Their practice is to have you keep the item until they can repair it, then you bring it in and the repair is done promptly (couple of days), no waiting around for some approximate completion date.  When I took the table in they were ready for it and went over the suggested work in detail and gave me an estimate.  The final bill matched the estimate - a bit on the pricey side (but I got no other estimates) but absolutely worth it. <br /> The repair was fantastic.  They completely disassembled the old table, re-glued a couple of splits and completely cleaned and re-glued it, including some hidden reinforcements to make it stronger.  The refinishing was fabulous.  The table was bought used by my parents over 80 years ago and probably never looked this good while we owned it.  Perhaps it didn't even look this good new. <br /> We are tremendously pleased with the quality of the work and the way the whole job was handled. <br />"

"From the first call & bid Peter was professional and clearly knowledgeable. He made me feel confidant that he would be able to restore and match our faded and worn cabinets to the other cabinets we had. His crew took great care to seal up (with plastic walls) their work area so as to minimize dust throughout the house. They were on time, polite, worked hard & did an excellent clean-up job. My cabinets look like new! A couple days later (after they were all done) I realized a small area had been missed (baseboards). After a quick call to Peter they guys came back out a few days later and took care of it. I would definitely use these guys again!"

"The team was prompt and responsive. The job took exactly the length of time they had estimated, including the "jobs within the job" (the sanding was done on the day they said, as was the staining and finishing. Cabinets look great! <br />"

"Evan and his crew were fantastic. They recently completed a month long project that included cabinet painting, multiple rooms painted including ceilings and trim, bathroom update, installing flooring, beams, and updating our fireplace with floor to ceiling brick. There are not enough superlatives to describe Apex Painting and Remodel. Evan’s team is first class in everything they do. Starting with the initial quote all the way to the final walk through. Evan communicated with us daily, he was personable, honest, and professional. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the impeccable organization. We have worked with several contractors in the past, Apex Paint and Remodel is head and shoulders above the rest. The team was an extension of Evan. They were friendly, hard working, and very skilled at their craft. They were committed to our project, working every day, full days. I look forward to working with Apex Paint and Remodel again."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Sweet Home, OR

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
