"Paul, the owner, was terrific. I needed to replace a rotting wooden rear entry door with a new ThermaTru fiberglass door. I also wanted to add a storm door to the same entry. Paul came over and inspected the site and we ordered both doors in late December of 2021. The doors arrived several months later and Paul came out for the installation. He was great. He was clearly a meticulous and experienced professional who knew his stuff perfectly. After several hours he had completed the installation of both doors. They look and work great. "TLDR: All in all great value, quality, and flexibility. Overall I would absolutely hire Dogwood again. I would only be a little more careful to think of and express important specifications rather than leave anything assumed/unwritten. Dogwood was the only one who walked most of the job and considered challenges for the job before giving the quote. Most other contractors wanted a flat daily rate and made an arbitrary promise to get X done per day. Dogwood instead looked at it and considered the variables, told me what site prep to do, and worked diligently to execute the job. As with any contractor, I recommend putting any discussion and decision into writing. Several agreed topics/decisions and specifications were either forgotten or not followed. Miscommunications and last minute "boots on the ground" adjustments happen. Keeping things clear and written down (even on a post it for an adjustment the crew needs to remember) will help everyone."

A couple weeks later we had an emergency outside wall that needed a temporary patch job-(a woodpecker had broken through in several spots) Auland covered the holes for us.
