"Jimmy arrived a few minutes before schedule and wore booties before entering. He was quickly able to assess the issue with my leaky toilet. I am extremely pleased with his professionalism and trade knowledge as he even provided much appreciated tips on how to avoid future clog and leaks. I would definitely recommend using Jimmy for any plumbing issues."

"Top notch company - installed our new AC/Heating units two years ago. I was a bit pricey, but has performed flawlessly. Subsequent service calls have been reasonable and professional. Highly recommend."

"This company stands behind their work I highly recommend them! We recently had our hot water tank replaced with a national brand; however, within 6 months the unit was totally out. We called them they showed up immediately and after it was determined that the defective part would have to be ordered and we would be without hot water for two additional days without hesitation they picked up a new tank replaced it no questions asked! Thanks, Carl, for all your professionalism explaining everything you were doing every step of the way."

"GREAT!!! I am always very satisfied with the work Twins Plumbing provides. Going above & beyond what the job requires. In our old house, they have unclogged drains, installed new appliances, water heater, dishwasher, kitchen sink/faucet, water filters, & cleared septic lines from the house. Believe me, I will have them out to do much more work. They're honest, priced competitively, really good people. They treat your home as if it were their own. Can't say enough good things about these guys!"

"I called Advanced Septic, Inc. this morning based on the reviews I read on Angie's List and I'm glad that I did.  I called several other companies before calling Advanced Septic and they either couldn't come to the house today, or they didn't know what time they could be there.  Clifford came to the house within a couple of hours, immediately diagnosed the problem, inspected the leach lines and pumped out the septic tank.  Clifford was extremely knowledgable and professional and I will most definitely call him again in the future.  I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ADVANCED SEPTIC, INC. <br />"

"We live in an old ranch with no updates in the baths. Mr. Young was able to locate new faucets that worked in the old tub and and worked on everything sealing with silicone etc. so now what was a good sized trickle is nothing. He also replaced the shut off valve so water to the house can be shut off anytime without involving the water dept. Everything we asked for was done well. I explained to him that we wanted simple effective fixes and did not need to totally redo and he delivered quality work at a reasonable price. We have more work for him. I heartily endorse Mr. Young."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Taylorsville, GA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
