"These guys are AMAZING!! Great customer service! We’ve used other locally popular lawn care services, that seem to simply, “zip over,” our lawn with minimal application, with to no effect! MRW takes their time and THEY USE VERY EFFECTIVE LAWN CARE PRODUCTS THAT ACTUALLY WORK! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND MRW!!"

"Scheduled maintenance lawn care is done on time and professionally. When we request a particular project to be done Natural Element's is always responsive, and does a terrific job. Always on time, caring about how we want the finished result to be, and very knowledgeable about lawn and garden care and maintenance. Our yard and garden look great. Shane and his crew know how to bring out the best in a garden and yard."

"Things were going quite well until I inquired about bagging excess grass that lay on the lawn and flower beds after the job was done. I was then told that it would cost an extra $3.00 weekly to bag grass. I decided to rake up the excess instead (saving money for me). I thought the grass was being cut too low; therefore,  I then inquired about mower blade height and was told it would cost an extra $4.98 weekly to raise or lower the blade. I have been a homeowner for longer than the provider is old, have had several lawn companies attend my lawns and have never, ever, heard of such a thing....from any company.
The provider simply wrote, "If I did not charge every customer the labor to change blades or lower, or raise them I would be loosing every job. If I did not charge to bag I will be loosing with dump fees labor fees. Eventually it will add up. Please understand ." He said it would take an extra 10 minutes to adjust blades. The county waste dump is within 5 miles.
Needless to say, his services were terminated.  What started out as a $25 weekly fee would have increased to $31.92 weekly and $131.92 monthly  instead of $100 monthly per 4 weeks  had I accepted the provider's proposal.
Mind you, clipping hedges and general lawn work was not included....just mowing. Oh, after the family mulched the flower beds, the provider's crew blew grass clippings in the beds atop the mulch. Yes, I did mention this to the provider and the blowing continued. I was simply  not satisfied. Perhaps someone else might like the additions, but not us. My neighbor, I think, uses their services and might be satisfied. I did not inquire.

"I was impressed with meeting Mike and by all the favorable reviews on Angie's List. As he was also the cheapest of the 3 bids I got, I happily decided to use him. We met twice to talk about what I wanted and to get his advice on some problematic areas I wasn't sure how to handle. He said he would come by one more time before work to finalize plans; also, we hadn't looked at any actual stones together. However, the team showed up one day and began work before we had done so. The stone was not what I had been expecting (in our conversations we had referred to "fractured flagstone", which to me suggested irregularity, but the new patio is a geometric design with square and rectangular stones). However, they had already begun work on it and I'm pretty easy-going so I let that go. The demo all went well and the new dry stack retaining wall was (and is) perfect. The trouble began with the retaining wall in front of the garage, the "problematic area" I had asked for advice on. The ground sloped to an embedded wooden plank before the garage, making getting bikes out difficult. One company had suggested putting in a berm there; MIke suggested a kind of curved retaining wall, which I had ok'd. However, the wall as built was dry stack, which would have fallen apart in no time in that heavily trafficked area. Not only that, it was so close to the garage that the doors could not fully open any more. I asked them to re-do it, moving it farther away and cementing the stones into place. On the flagstone patio I asked for the edge to be curved out. Twice I showed the foreman the curve, drawing it in sand. Oddly, the completed curve was only half the width of the patio, rather than the whole width I had drawn. I felt bad asking them to re-do it, but the problem was the stepping stone path going from the patio down to the retaining wall looked really weird coming out from the non-curved area. (The path itself was not what I expected; again, a "fractured flagstone" path suggested to me a bunch of different stones 2-3 feet wide, in a natural, irregular path. Instead, it is just one large rectangular stone after another). I suggested adding some stones around the part of the stone path abutting the patio to make it blend in better. The team (Mike was not there himself most of the time) willingly made the changes, and quickly. They also charged for every single change, so that I wound up paying as much as the competitors' bids. While not totally happy with that, I felt that I was partly at fault for not being clearer up front. Though with Mike's experience and level of professionalism, not to mention the fact that he seemed to "get it" immediately, I honestly didn't think there was a communication issue. Still, I decided to let it go. Within a few weeks, some of the stones on the edge of the patio began coming apart. I called Mike and told him the problem and also passed on some advice from a contractor who had been doing work on the house. He fixed the part of the patio coming apart. A couple of months passed; stones in the middle began looking uneven, and two stones cracked. Mid-winter, the stepping stones sank into the ground by an inch or two, and the steps that go down to the retaining wall were coming apart. By early spring, the extra fractured stones around the path had come completely apart. They look like someone just took stones and laid them upon the ground with no prep work. We called Mike and asked him to come look at the problems. One reason I wanted to have him come out early was that we were doing some work on our house later in the spring, and I wanted him to see the condition of the stones before their deterioration could be blamed on house contractors. He put some new stone dust over the top of the patio, not really addressing the root problem (which I fear is that the base was not done correctly). He fixed the stepping stones so that they're not sinking any more. He did not comment on or address the other areas that are coming apart. I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated. In his trips out, Mike seems to have never noticed that all of the stones (except for the retaining wall) don't seem to have been set correctly. In the end I paid as much as I would have had I gone with a competitor. I have areas of the work that need to be re-done, but Mike seems to only want to top-dress them with stone dust. I can't afford to pay another company to re-do the work properly. I'm puzzled by the terrific reviews that I've consistently read, and unsure what happened in this case."
