"Great reliable work competitive price knowledgable. They kept me informed and worked with my a.c. company to make sure both jobs were done well. He explained things and let me take part on decisions that would effect the price while maintaining quality work. Jesus worked with me on payment while my other house was being sold. He was more thoughtful than family and wanted to help make things less stressful during this time. He even did a patio extention that others would not show up to quote due to it being a relatively 'small' job."

"It's been 8 years since my roof was done and it still looks great. I guess the best compliment I've had in a while came from my neighbor who chose Fort Seldon Roofing based on my recommendation and told me how satisfied he was with the entire experience. He said he paid a little more for his energy efficient TPO roof than ordinary roofs from competing roofers but he knows the investment will pay off for years."

"Ernie Haas provided a very thorough examination of our roof which enabled us (after much back and forth with our roofer (DCF Contracting)) to ensure that all necessary and required repairs were made to our roof. Mr. Haas stayed in contact with us for more than a month to ensure that any questions or issues we had were addressed."

"Since we have not had any problems since the original work, and since the company promptly and professionally honored their warranty, we felt confident asking them to re-coat the roof this year.  Mr Wampler offered us a discount as a repeat customer. <br /> <br /> Mr Wampler is honest and professional.  It is a pleasure to deal with him and his company.  He did the work promptly and courteously.  He knows his work and obviously derives satisfaction from seeing that his customers are happy.  We are comfortable recommending that anyone with a flat white roof contact him before doing any roof work."

"They gave a fair price estimate and honored it, arrived on time each day of the job, worked hard while they were here, and left us with what feels like a brand new deck. Two weeks ago it rained for two days straight and the deck held up perfectly. Not one drop of water seeped through. We're very happy with the job that Absolute Waterproofing did and would recommend their services to others."

"We had a storm that ripped off some ties that was two years ago. They are not local. There were probably 100 roofing companies from all over the country that came in because so many roofs were damaged here. The underside of the roof collapsed. That was not a storm leak. It was a water leak. I would use them again."

"Service provider was on time, was professional and courteous.  They informed us the inspection would take 2 hours and we didn't have to come until the last 15 minutes, but my husband wanted to be there for the whole thing and see the inspection.  The inspector was very tolerant of my husband following him around for the inspection, questioning every single thing the inspector looked at, and answered all of his questions.  He was very thorough, there was no part of the house or property he did not inspect.  If there was something he could not inspect for one reason or another he made note of it and we were aware of it.  He provided the report via e-mail before the day was over.  The one and only thing I would have liked and did not receive was a printed color copy of the report.  I understand I was sent an electronic copy immediately and that was helpful, but I would have appreciated a printed color copy mailed to me a few days after the fact.  He took a million pictures, and I do not have a color printer, and much is lost in those pictures when they are printed black and white.  I understand I can go to an office supply and have a color copy printed, but it would be nice if they included one as part of the service.  But, if I buy any houses in the future I will use NPI again, I was very happy with their service and their price.  Thank you so much. <br />"

"<p>The quality and installation was very good with no debris or dust afterwards to clean up. Expect to do a little painting to protect the caulk on both the outside and inside. These window have rollers so they open and close easily especially compared to the windows install a few years ago from a discount home supply store. This installation was different in that the windows were shimmed and leveled then anchored. There was room left between the window and the house blocks to allow for expansion. Compressible filler was added in the spaces between the window frame and the house to prevent leakage in to out of the house.</p> <p>I would not buy into all the sales spiel especially the temperature of the glass on the inside when the radiant sun is pounding on the glass. The heating effect of the sun's rays on both the interior and exterior glass just can not be stopped. Obviously and the proof of reduced AC electric and heating bill proves that multi-pane and gas filled windows reduce heat transmission through the window.</p> <p>Be aware of local codes on window size and style for emergency egress. This may impact your choices and vendor supply. Before signing on the dotted line consider talking to the plant manager, in this case Robert Fulton to verify code criteria or talk with the city permitting department.</p> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Thatcher, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
