"John was very professional. He explained everything that I need to know about what he was gonna do and the task he was gonna do he was, and he was able to clean everything up that he did and he was so professional that I hired him again to do another job for me and I told him that we can start having a business relationship as in anything I need to get done for my backyard. "Excellent work. Pete responded promptly to my initial inquiry, came out ASAP to provide an estimate on the cracked step (and on a bigger "dream" project I've been thinking about), explained what had likely caused the damage, and gave me several options for either replacing the step just as it had been, or upgrading a little bit depending on my price range. His recommendations were good, and we didn't feel pressured at all, but the full reshaping of the step into a rounded one was a bit outside our budget so we took him up on enlarging it by several inches instead. Overall, Pete was friendly and professional, and had that air of experienced competence that you look for in someone doing work on your house. I didn't even bother getting a second estimate. I did, however, call a good friend who has worked in the brick industry for years, and he assured me that the price Pete quoted was right in line with what he would expect for my project if you want it done right. When I gave Pete the green light, he scheduled the work promptly, showed up in the morning on time a few days later, and knocked the whole project out by that same afternoon. Put simply, the step looks great. It was done promptly, in line with our budget and at the price Pete originally quoted, and our whole experience with him was easy and hassle-free. The new brick color is matched perfectly with the old brick (absent a decade of wear and tear obviously), as is the cement, and it is clearly quality construction. In sum, I would highly recommend PK Masonry to anyone, and I will definitely use him again if I can ever convince my wife to let me pull the trigger on that dream project I've been thinking about..."

"We requested a quote from Mr Ivey at the beginning of July. Once we agreed on the work that was to be done he gave us our quote within one week. He stated he had to order the items needed as well as the plants and it should take a couple of weeks. He called three weeks later and told us everything was in and that they'd be by the following week (this was on 16 July). The workers came in on Friday, 23 July worked for about four hours and left. It was sweltering that day, but we wish they would have told us they were leaving for the day and would be back Monday. They came back Monday, 26 July and finished their work. They did a great job and we would hire them again, but when you're leaving for the day, at least tell your customer, and let them know when you'll be returning to complete the work."

"It went well. The house was for the most part above average quality. There were many out-of-the-ordinary custom design aspects of the house that were tricky to execute which were expertly executed. And the contractor kept his word on costs even at his personal expense. Overall I was very pleased - would have him build another house without hesitation. <br />"

"I had searched for medium size river gravel, but could find nothing. A friend told me about EasyLiving Garden Center, and I found that they have all sizes of river gravel - small (pea size), medium, and large (egg size). They have the gravel in-stock, so you can look and be sure it is what you want. They deliver for a reasonable fee. They delivered promptly as promised, and called first. Excellent service."

"Dillion and his team did an amazing job. The professionalism, quality of work and promptness of work was excellent. Thankfully Dillion told his team to not clear as much as we had marked because it kept the privacy we wanted close to our house. It was a total shock when I first saw the clearing, but I can honestly say our land looks bigger and the larger trees will be healthier now that the smaller trees are removed. Thank you for the outstanding job you guys did!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Thomaston, GA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
