"Hi, just had Chris Gaugler of Braswell Construction Group out to discuss my roof and attic. He is professional, honest and has integrity. His company does roofing and contracting work. He can be reached at 678-223-8966 or chrisg@braswellconstructiongroup.com. I definitely recommend him"

"I used Team Roofing for the installation of 6-inch gutters and downspouts. The result was that the company exceeded my expectations. This is one of the most responsive customer-focused companies that I have ever done business with. From the initial contact with the sales representative to the operations organization to the installation team, they were professional, responsive to every inquiry. They even responded after business hours and weekends. They were the only company that would make two trips (at no extra trip costs) to remove the gutters and then allow the trim to be painted and fascia repaired and then returned to complete the installation. We are equally impressed with the installation workmanship. From the initial contact through the installation, I could not have asked for a better experience. Each person we dealt with during the process was professional and an asset to Team Roofing. Team Roofing offers great value for money with outstanding results."

"Our "only" negative comment about Ground Zero Shelters is that they do not come to a persons residence to give the sales pitch and demonstration. You must go to their showroom or see their product at a home show. This being said, we were extremely happy with the sales experience, reminders and installation of our shelter. They called about 10 days prior to the installation for a reminder, their installers called the day before and the morning of the installation to remind us that they would be at our home at the designated time. They showed up as promised and were completed with the installation in less than 1 1/2 hours time! Thank you Ground Zero!"

"Searching for a roofer who you can trust is a bit daunting, eventually after reading reviews on multiple sites, I picked 3 roofer with A ratings from Angie's List. Mr. Robertson's said they would call back and never did. Total Roof Solutions came out, gave us a great pitch with examples of everything they do, said they would send me a quote in a day or two and never received a quote from them. <br /> Guardian came out and did same walk through, however same day, the owner came out to look at roof and gave me the quote day of. They showed up and put the roof on in two days. Looks great, absolutely NO issues with anyone from the company they came back and made sure I was happy with results before I paid.  <br /> Totally friendly and professional no pressure company. If I have any other roof needs in future they will have all my business. They have done about 6 homes in my neighborhood, checked with my neighbors experience, everyone very happy with their results. <br /> This is an A++ company, owner Garrett very involved. HIGHLY recommend using this company. <br />"

"Nevardo does excellent work! It is easy to see that he aims for perfection. Nevardo worked in front while the other crew worked in the rear of the house. Every leaf guard that Nevardo installed was perfectly aligned and the overlaps were flush. Not so in the rear! After the crew left, in addition to bad overlaps in the leaf guard, I also noticed that the siding was displaced where the rear crew had put their ladder. I called Gutter Works and they immediately sent Nevardo over. What impressed me was the when Nevardo came to fix the siding, he immediately saw an error by the previous crew. The installation of the leaf guard was not complete on the highest part of the house (in the rear)! Even after Matt and I did our walk-around, nether he (Matt) nor I saw the mistake. If Nevardo had not seen that mistake, I would have unknowingly had a missing leaf guard on my gutter forever. Nevardo did all the repairs (including fixing the overlaps) to his quality and I can’t even tell anymore that there are overlaps in the rear of the house. Thanks Nevardo!"

"I realize it has to do with the installers who seemed wonderful and we were very happy with them. However, four years later, the carpets are stretching. This was the first time in our lives that we ever had carpet installed in our home. I thought it would last 30 years and not start to look terrible after just four years.  <br /> <br /> They came when they were suppose to come. They did what they were suppose to do. They were pleasant to work around. I was really thrilled with their punctuality. Again, I was really happy with the workers and it looked beautiful when they left.  <br /> <br /> They actually didn't have the right carpet to begin with. They did come back and took money off of the price. One of the problems I had was choosing the right color of the carpets. I had ordered thundercloud gray carpet and it was one thing to see it 10' up in the air as a square piece of carpet under florescent lighting, then when they put it down it looked blue, not gray. I was not happy because it was not the color I thought it was suppose to be. I would've paid them for a 3x2 swatch of carpet to throw down to actually look at it before I bought it.  <br /> <br /> I am going to have to call them to come back and stretch the carpet.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Tignall, GA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
