"I had them pour my driveway and a slab for my shop. The driveway was cracking the very same day. It was cracked from one side to the other all the way through. And my 30x40 is not square and it cost me even more when they installed my metal building because of it being over an inch short on one side. The slab for my building has a low spot that will cover half of the bottom of my boots when rain runs in the front door because the entrances for my roll up doors is slanted towards my building and they put a drain across the front of the doors but it is not angled down so it will drain it?s sitting almost level and it feels up and runs right into my shop. My shop floor is also has several cracks and it?s only 6 months old. When I called them about the cracks in my driveway I was told all concrete cracks and most does but not the very day it was poured. Alex sent his Daddy out here to look at it and he tried to charge me to fix it when I had already spent 18,500.00 with the mess."

"Amazing! I expected the project to last minimum 3-4 days but they finished in 2! Great pricing! I was worried at first seeing as they gave me the best deal but they outdid themselves. Love my driveway extension. If I wanted anything different they made sure to ask me to make sure I got everything I wanted. They made me feel secure with answering all concrete questions I had. Very fast and hard workers. The pictures show it drying. This was their last day. They took out some trees as well and they were very good at doing that too. Very responsive with communication!"

"Very disappointed with my experience. Everything related to the actual work is very rushed. They have supervisors come out before the job is finished to sign off on the work. No one showed me any pictures or talked through what was done at the end. I had to ask one of the foreman as he was leaving if he could show us what was done. He seemed surprised I would ask. As a result we were left with an incomplete repair, trash on our property, and damage to our property. I had to call the salesman to get him to come out and he agreed what we had been left with was atrocious. If I hadn't called we would have been stuck with shoddy work, trash, and damage - that's their standard. We scheduled a call back that was a month out to give them plenty of time to get organized and make sure we were getting what we paid for. I was supposed to get refunded for part of the job and I've never seen a dime. The salesman was good enough to include another jack free of cost which I really appreciated. But on the morning of the call back, the crew had no idea about the jack or where to put it, so it was another morning of trying to light a fire under these people to keep their word. This isn't a dishwasher on the fritz, this is my home and tens of thousands of dollars. The lack of organization and respect for me and my home is inexcusable. So I wrote an email to the GM, thinking he'd take some ownership of what had happened and I'd at least get an apology and they'd work internally on improving. Not only did I not get an apology, he was defensive and said it was a "good repair." If that is the standard of a good repair, I'd hate to see a bad one. I'm going to have everything inspected by a structural engineer and will go from there. I've been treated with more respect buying fast food. Spend your money elsewhere."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Town Creek, AL

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
