"I called several companies to get pricing on a 24x18 concrete patio, and Paul was the first one to call me back and the first one to come out to do a site visit. He was courteous and professional during the entire process, and never attempted to pressure me into upgrading or getting something I didn't need. When it came time to schedule the pour, Paul was able to fit us in very quickly, and even when there was a delay due to his concrete supplier being backlogged because of a rain delay, it only resulted in a one-day delay, and Paul was upfront and in touch the entire time. On the day of the pour, Juan Carlos and his team were scheduled to show up at 7:00am, but showed up about 20 minutes early, which is better than 20 minutes late! He and his team quickly got to work prepping the area, and by 12:00 they had completely finished the project, cleaned up the area, and had left house/yard/driveway in the same shape as before the arrived. The only difference was the beautiful new patio! Probably the best part for me was the personal visit from Paul afterwards to inspect the work. Based on my experience, I would whole-heartedly recommend Paul and his team from Maryland Curbscape to anyone looking to get concrete work done. I waited a while to write this review, because I wanted my father-in-law to take a look at the patio. He did masonry and concrete for about 40 years, and once he gave his seal of approval, I knew I had let Paul and his team know how thankful my family and I are that we have a new space for anything we can think of."

"We hired Nelson to do cleaning after the winter, mulching a very big area which involved getting rid of lots of weeds and leaves, replacing the weeds stopper fabric from under a vast area with marble chips, cutting the grass, making flower beds, landscaping edges, etc. From the first interaction with him, Nelson was very professional. While walking together all sides of the yard, he listened very attentively to what we were hiring him for. We were and we are very happy with his work. He showed up as promised and over delivered the entire work. Yes, over delivered. Not common nowadays. He and his crew are very hard workers and their work is very detailed. Concrete deliveries FAQs
One yard of concrete covers a different area depending on its thickness. At four inches thick, one cubic yard of concrete covers about 81 square feet. If you're pouring at five inches thick, it covers around 65 square feet. For a six-inch thickness, expect it to cover approximately 54 square feet. The thicker your slab, the less area one yard of concrete will cover.
The shelf life of concrete depends on whether it's wet or dry. Ready-mixed concrete in its wet form lasts approximately 90 minutes to two hours after water is added, so it is essential to schedule your delivery carefully. Bags of dry concrete mix can last several months if stored properly in a cool, dry place. Moisture exposure can cause the cement to harden or lose strength over time.
An average concrete truck can hold between eight and 11 cubic yards of concrete, although some larger trucks can carry up to 15 cubic yards. However, road weight limits often restrict the amount they can carry, so most deliveries are around eight to 11 cubic yards. Knowing this helps you plan the number of truckloads you'll need for your project.
Pouring concrete doesn't take very long once the truck arrives. One cubic yard of concrete can be poured in about 10 minutes. Therefore, a full truck with 10 cubic yards of material would take approximately one hour and 40 minutes to empty. Keep in mind, though, that preparation and finishing work add time to the overall project.
Concrete sealing costs between $1,400 and $3,000, depending on the area's size and the type of sealer used. Sealing your concrete creates a protective barrier that blocks moisture and chemicals, helping to extend its lifespan and maintain its appearance. Investing in sealing can save you money on future repairs.
Concrete walkways cost an average of $1,800 for a standard 200-square-foot installation. This includes materials and professional labor to create a durable and attractive path. The actual price may vary depending on design, finishes, and any additional features you select, but it's a worthwhile investment that enhances your home's curb appeal.
