"I purchased the Angie's List deal of four hours of Handyman's services for $99.
It took a while to schedule, firstly, because it was mainly outdoor work, and when we couldn't find a date in the fall, I waited until the spring.After that, the company was very unresponsive when I tried to arrange an appointment. At one point, I offered a three week window when he could pick his four hours and didn't hear from him.
I thought someone would come by ahead of time to discuss what I was looking for, maybe give me an idea of what the time frame would be for the various tasks. But I was only asked for a description of the jobs over the phone. On the scheduled morning, the company still wasn't sure what I was asking or even if they needed a ladder. (They eventually borrowed mine).
The concrete patching started cracking within days of the job. I called the company about this, but they didn't get back to me.
The carpentry work was sufficient, but  the work didn't allow my door to close. The workers were in their truck and about to leave when I noticed this.
They didn't bother to cleanup the sawdust.
I don't know why Finished Edge wants to be on Angie's List, much less offer special deals, when the follow up with such mediacre work.

We had a loose vision for the backyard and Jason took that vision to the next level recommending innovative approaches to some of the key aspects of the yard including a unique approach to the built in seating, an accent wall with lighting, hooking up the fireplace, paver design, etc. In addition, there was excellent responsiveness and oversight of the project by the Owner, Jason, and that carried over to his team who had great attention to detail and took great pride in their work. We have had a number of different contractors work on our house and JMJ by far was one of the most professional and responsive and all while delivering a high quality end product. Thanks JMJ!
