"The job went very well. They came out the same morning I called. I received a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to their arrival to ensure I was available. The service guys were very professional, friendly and explained everything that had to be done. They covered their shoes before each entry. Although I was a bit disappointed that the service charge was not deducted from the cost of repairs, but their service and professionalism eased my mind and the fee was no longer a concern. The job was completed in less about an hour or less. I also ended up purchasing the yearly service membership with Clark's Heating and Air while they were at my home. With the newly purchased membership I also received an instant discount on the plumbing job. Within an hour the A/C service technician was at my home and conducted a thorough inspection and check of my heating and air unit. This was done at no additional charge because of the membership. I will continue to use them and will also refer them to friends and co-workers. <br />"

"Cameron did a great job in the blistering heat of our attic tracking down an acceptable location to place a dehumidifier we plan to install. He made the necessary electrical wiring determinations/additions so all electrical requirements are ready to go. It cost less than half of what we originally anticipated."

"We took out the old tub and provided the new tub. Terry Edward's crew installed the new tub, facuet and drain stop. The finished bathroom looks very nice. They had to push our scheduled date back a few days (due to a previous project running longer than expected) and they chipped a corner off the tub (but we were able to cover it with toe molding). Also they put a small crease in the fiberglass exterior side of the tub. In their defense, the bathroom is very small to be manuvering a tub around in. The only other thing I might mention is that they left the crawlspace door open that leads from the basement to under the house and left the light on down there (which wasn't noticed until 24 hours later) and left dirty hand prints on the bathroom door. But all in all we are happy with our new bathroom."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

"I was hoping to get a lush green lawn with weeds removed and out of sight. <br /> After giving the service to Waynes I have waited for over a year and half and still have not seen much results with improving lawn. <br /> While the treatments were done regularly and the amount from bank deducted monthly, I did not see any difference in my lawn. <br /> I have decided to cancel their service and proceed with another agency. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Tyler, AL

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
