Small jobs welcome

"Gary and his crew paid attention to my safety as well as doing their job. They removed old rotting boards, insulation, and placed fresh siding on home. They painted with attention to trim, appearance, and underpinning. Glass in couple of windows was replaced. When they built my widened back porch, I asked for adjustments. They gladly came back and made adjustments. The prices wre reasonable and he discussed costs with me along the way. I will definitely call this team if I need anything done."

"Josh made a custom tv/media console to fit in a specific place in my home. It needed to fit all my accessories. I asked him to make it â  paint readyâ  so I could paint it myself. He built the perfect console! Thank you! He also extended 2 of my shelves in my pantry so they were deeper. Again, he did a great job!"

"Dennis and his son were absolutely amazing. The work they did turned out even better than I had imagined it would be. Every detail was thought of and taken care of properly. Not only would I recommend hiring them, I will hire them again for more projects that need to be done. There is a reason they are always booked out for several weeks.....the work is quality at affordable prices. The work site was left spotless. We love our new room addition. It greatly added to the value of our house. Thank you guys!!!"

"Wonderful company. The owner drove clear from Tyler to Palestine, TX to look at my windows even though he knew he might not be able to do the job. Because I have storm windows over the original windows and they are caulked in, they are NOT easy to clean and ARE easily broken if removed. Because of this, he had to decline my job, but he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would hire him without hesitation if I could."

"finish was good on counters and shower. The repair on the Jucuzzi is an eye sore, white speckle splatter in the Earth coloring, over spray over my bathroom ceiling in multiple areas, over spray on new faucet, used white caulk between Chocolate colored walls and Earth bathtub surround, scratches where sanded on Jacuzzi, Wayne never inspected the work once complete. Offered $75 discount for poor attention to detail. Had the wrong drain kit and had to order another. 1 week delay when he could have ordered overnight. painted the bathroom room 4 days before they came. They masked off the room and when removed the tape it ripped the paint off my bathroom. Said the blue tape does not work and the regular white tape soaks up the lacquer and bleeds through to the wall. Would have been nice to know before hand. If Wayne had come by maybe I would have known. There is a chemical resistant low tack tape I used in my screen printing business. It is not paper based. They should research. Wayne said he would come back and look. Didn't show that day and called noon the next day and he said he was at another job...duh...Given the feeling the whole time is that my job was not as important as others, even though I spend over $3000. Offering this and that after the fact is not quality service but rather just cover up to feel better. He should have been on the job. He is the one I hired."

"Craig is a delight to deal with and his cabinets were stunningly beautiful. We miscommunicated about the need for quarter round at the base of the cabinets, but I suspect that was my fault. Again, the cabinets are killer nice. I also toured a house he built in Red Springs. Fabulous high-end job at a very affordable price. My highest recommendation."

"He has not started yet; I have just contracted with him. He is tuned up in another project, he has done the measurements and everything and he let me know that it would be after Valentine's Day. We went and looked at the cabinets, etc., so we have already started the process. When he comes on Monday, he is going to be taking out the cabinets. I have not worked with him in the past, but I went on Angie's List and had a couple of personal recommendations for whom he did work for, and I checked him out and he is a pretty honest guy. I have heard about his details, etc., and saw some of his work and I do not foresee a problem in using him. My first impression about his way of being and how he represented himself was very good. He did quote me an estimate of what the project is going to end up costing me. For the detail type things, you just do not go and look at everything and he puts it in, we will do this in stages, like if I need a different cabinet or something. So we will work on each one and we will do it in sections at a time. I told him that I wanted it more hands on to pick what I wanted and the colors to make sure I got what I wanted, etc., and he said this is no problem and that is the way we should do it so that we can match up the hardware and everything. So, I was pretty impressed. Regarding price, I am extending my kitchen out so the first guy who came in here, who was going to do some custom cabinet, etc., charged me $13500 and that is what his estimate was, where as on the other hand with Eddie Walker General Contractor I am having the kitchen extended, cabinets, flooring and everything, plus the hallway and all the sheetrock, etc., and I feel like I got a very good deal on the price. He is very prompt, very courteous and he knows what he is doing in measurements and everything. When we do sections, I pay as we go, I do not put any money upfront and that says a lot about an individual. He will bring the invoices to pay for products that he puts his own money out on and each time we do a section I pay his labor."

And they fixed everything. God Bless these gentlemen God has a special place in heaven for them. If I didn't scare them off, and I have more jobs, I will definately call them again. Hope yall aren't too busy to come back. Great service, and great guys"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Tyler, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
