"First of all, they don't answer their phone when they have a full schedule! This is a pain when you just need to talk about existing services! The owner, Roger, came out for an estimate. (Not free, by the way!) I walked around with him explaining where we had leaks (some that we fixed ourselves), what we had worked on and what we still needed done. I explained to him that we had been working on our own, trying to revamp the system ourselves, but the digging became a little too much for us. (At this point, it also would have been nice of him to explain to us how easy a few of the tasks would be for us to complete instead of him over-charging for it.) After another 30 minutes of him walking around by himself to assess the system, he told me that we needed to redo the old system in the entire front yard and that a few of the other zones needed holes repaired and new heads, etc. The quote for the entire system was way too high (thousands of dollars), so we decided not to change the front yard (because it was working fine) and to repair the broken heads, fix the leaks, and make sure that everything else was in working order. We had also dug up a 2'x12' section by the main control to repair leaks, which I asked him to cover back up (again, tired of the shoveling dirt). We agreed upon a price (which I thought still too high). His crew came back a week or so later and worked on the job. After they were finished, and left without saying anything to me, they had not filled in the 2'x12' hole and there were sprinkler heads that were still up too high out of the ground or crooked. I called Roger back (left a message) and told him how disappointed I was about his quality of service. He had his guys come back to fix the sprinkler heads (refused to fill the 2'x12' hole) and charged me over $70 more for the fixes, that we had already agreed upon him doing, which took all of 10 minutes.
Overall, we paid too much for a service that SHOULD NOT cost that much, and it did not get done right the first time."

"The quality of my outdoor kitchen and patio exceeded my own expectations. Clint and his team did a terrific job. They started right when he said he they would and worked diligently through bad weather to complete the project promptly. The workmanship of his team was terrific. I have stamped concrete with a smoke tint that looks better than I imagined. My outdoor kitchen is the envy of my neighbors. We are really enjoying it. In addition to great work Clint is a stand up business man and a pleasure to do business with. I would recommend him to any of my family and friends."

"Cantrell Contracting LLC
The company preformed a variety of task in accomplishing our renovation/repair. There were leaks in the lower level of our home. Correcting this problem required both interior and exterior work, including removing trim from interior windows, removing three sets of triple casement windows. These are very heavy double pane, wood windows with aluminum clad outside. Four men were required to accomplish this task safely.
The windows were not installed properly originally and required carpentry work to re-frame and square windows. The windows now operate properly! We had not been able to open some of these windows for years.
Drywall replacement and refinishing was also required as well as trim replacement.
Problems with the leaks around the windows required exterior work as well. The outer wall was removed down to the studs to check for damage. Inferior work was also found here. Sheathing was removed and replaced.
Wall was sealed with ty-vek. Windows on upper level and double doors on lower level were sealed. New lintels were placed above the lower doors for more support. Finally the outer wall was replaced.
Work was done in a timely manner.
Workmen were polite and answered all of my questions. They did a good job of protecting our deck and cleaning up work site when finished."

"It was great. They were efficient, very neat, and cleaned up everything. It was like they were never here. They were honest. I was never afraid about them being here in our yard, I felt like everything was safe and secure."

"Their workers were all undocumented and they were forced to fire them. The owner thought he and his son could manage the work themselves, which they couldn't. Without telling us they just stopped coming and doing the work while we were out of town. They did not call, email, or stop by - just didn't show up and do the work. I would not recommend Live Oak to anyone."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Union-grove, AL

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
