"Work performed was excellent. After initial inspection of the furnance revealed that a component needed replacement, discussed repair or replacement of the entire 18 year old HVAC system. Decided to go with replacement of the whole system, which is more energy efficient, uses a more enviromentally friendly refrigerant, and is more effective. Every person that worked on the system arrived on schedule, was courteous, answered questions clearly, and did outstanding work. I was impressed with the service provided by the owner, Julie, and every individual on the inspection and installation team. Plus we are getting $1,000 in rebates. Highly recommend them. Will continue to use them for all HVAC service."

"Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories, Inc. sent a package with 2 vials and instructions for collecting the samples.  I collected the samples as instructed, completed a questionnaire, and returned the sample vials as instructed.  A week or two later they sent the analysis.  Everything went as expected.  There were no problems. <br />"

"He offered some help over the phone even though he wasn't even in my state. Somehow I ended up with his number and he offered to help me just because I had called. This is the type of person you want working in your home."

"Three service installers arrived on time.  In fact they called to say if they can arrive earlier which I was happy they can.    They put down a rug to protect my floor and plastic to protect the stairs going down to the basement (carpet).  They went right into the installation.  They were all very professional and kind.  They were very careful working in our home and cleaned up after they finished.   They then explained to me about the defective pump emergency alarm and the battery it takes.  Also explained how to replace the batteries in two controller boxes.  Now that this job is complete I will have "peace of mind" that my basement will not flood.   I only had one pump before, now I have two electric and one battery backup sump motors. Thanks Sure Dry Basement Inc. and Angie's List.  I recommend them both to everybody.        <br />"

"I had several plumbers come in and give me estimates and Hansen was by far the best price. The individual that came out for the estimate was somewhat abrasive from the start. The house was about a year old when he came out and he gave me a sermon about the necessity of having a licensed plumber do such work as I had done for a water softener/conditioner. In addition to the above mentioned items, I was also going to get a new toilet for this bathroom. I told him that I wanted it to be the same as the rest in the house (Toto). They did all the work soon after except for the final install on the bowl itself because we needed to wait for the floor to be installed first. A week or so later, another plumber stopped by to get a look at the other toilets in the house. Five months passed by until we were ready for the bowl and they came in and installed it. While doing this, I had to "run" somewhere and by the time I returned he was finished and gone. To my surprise, I was the unhappy owner of a new Kohler toilet, not a Toto as I had requested. This was a Friday afternoon and I called the office to notify them of their mistake. The girl on the phone said, "I'll tell Dave" and he'll call you back. I never did get a call from "Dave", but what I did get was a bill for the sink that the plumber had connected, as well as a $50.00 upcharge for the Kohler toilet because it was ADA compliant. I paid the charge for the sink connection, but not for the upcharge. Now they send me an invoice each month. I was quoted $900.00 for all of the work (and toilet) and they knew what was needed due to the plumber coming over to look at the other toilets in the house. I was very unhappy about the sermon regarding what may be done with my house and the fact that he is trying to nick an extra fifty bucks out of us for the wrong toilet that they put in. The whole thing is something of a mess."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Valders, WI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
