"Picked this company based off of their reviews and I was not disappointed. As a single mother with 2 kids, it's very hard to find someone locally I can trust. Will be using Kris and his company again in the very near future! "

"<p>I came in and I was in distress one evening and they told me they could be out first thing in the morning. And they were! Very reliable!</p> <p>The pricing was great.</p> <p>That's my plumber! I've always used them for my well pump but I am thinking of using them in the future for plumbing. I had someone else put in my heat pump and they offer a maintenance server where they come out twice a year check on everything you get a discount on any work that needs to be done. Even though I have been using them for the heat pump since I had it installed, since seeing the guy who worked on the well pump, I would rather him do the work in my house!</p>"

"An excellent experience. We though we were going to have to replace our sewer line from the house to the street. Todd came out with a high tech camera and locating system and found that our sewer line only needed about 4 feet replaced! That saved us at least $1500. He also "scoped" into the lines going into the house and let me watch the monitor so I could see for myself the condition of our drains. <br /> Thanksw <br />"

"They were professional.  They were here when they said they would be here.  They were early to unhook the original tub before the tub installers could bring the new one and they were there for that.  They did some plumbing work for the shower when the tub was not in the ground.  They connected everything and they came into the final hardware and installed the toilet which was taken out."

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Arrived on time.  Work completed ahead of schedule.   Courteous.  Although the charge was significant, it was worth it.  They tied into my existing gas line in the attic, ran a long run of copper inside a wall, installed all the valves/connections for a gas stove (was previously using an electric stove.)  You don't want to mess around with gas - I wanted a plumber that I trusted and they didn't disappoint. <br />"

"I called JD and he came over that afternoon and looked the projects <br /> over. He called me back with the estimate within an hour. After I gave <br /> him the go ahead and the agreed up front money he told me when he would <br /> start. He started on time and did a very good job. There were a couple <br /> of things that we had not specifically discussed, such as putting some <br /> extra support under one end of the deck, which was needed,  that he did <br /> without me asking and without charging extra.  I am very satisfied with <br /> his work and am already lining up the next project for him. <br />    JD is a really nice guy and is easy to work with. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Vance, AL

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
