About Us When you turn to BCB for your flooring needs, you’re gaining the personal approach of Camelia and Claudiu Bob. The newlyweds launched BCB to serve Southern California, but the company’s beginnings go back to Claudiu’s early years in Romania. “I started working with my father from the age of 14, back in Romania,” explains Claudiu Bob. “He was a contractor and he would take me with him to his job sites. He taught me how to install wood flooring and every step in the process: sanding, buffing and staining. "As new house owners, (we previously lived in a one bedroom apartment in NYC) my wife and I wanted to replace the flooring and paint our entire house. We inquired with a few different companies, one of which was Ameriproj. Matt came over a few times (as we kept changing our minds on what we wanted) and gave us multiple quotes for the different things we wanted to do. He was extremely patient with us and answered all our questions in person, on phone calls and through texts. He was extremely responsive to us and that was a big reason why we ultimately decided to move forward with Matt. As part of our decision, we asked Matt why he didn't have many reviews on Angi’s List, and he mentioned he had started up fairly recently. The reviews he did have were great and we're really glad we went with Ameriproj. Matt is one of the friendliest and nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He was very helpful and professional every step of the way answering any questions we had, anytime we had them. He walked us through the process of picking different types of wood flooring, the type of paint and finish. He coordinated the flooring installation and painting team to come at the same time and work in different floors to make the entire job faster. Matt and his team were all very respectful as both my wife and I were working from home. He asked us before doing anything out of the ordinary to avoid crossing any boundaries. Matt gave us a lot of advice and pointed out many things to us even if it didn't benefit him. For a few things, he was able to help us (such as mounting a TV on the wall and installing a chandelier). The flooring team was super experienced and did the job in a day and a half. The painting took about 8 days to finish painting the entire house out of the 10 that he estimated for us at the beginning of the job. We had 2 floors, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, hallway, stairs, laundry room, walk in closet. They even worked on Labor Day just to finish the job faster. We also already had some furniture in the house, so the painters had to either move the furniture or paint around them. They finish painted the entire 2nd floor first before moving to the first so they can give us privacy which was nice, and they accommodated us wanting to paint our home office last so that we could work uninterrupted. The painters did not cut corners - they were very skilled and painted their butts off. Matt detail reviewed their work and pointed out things that needed to be fixed, which they did. They really took their time, meticulously painting between the drawers and behind obstacles, making sure every single part of the house was painted perfectly. Overall I had a great experience working with Matt and would definitely recommend Ameriproj to friends/family for future home renovation projects. Thank you Matt!"

"Javier made time to meet with me on July 4th for my estimate which was surprising but appreciated since I had limited availability due to living out of town. His knowledge about floor restorations was extensive and he answered every question I had about my 65 year old floor. He had even recommended a high traffic sealant since I am preparing my house for rent. Yes, I want the high traffic finish but I was concerned about the fumes for my tenants. He explained that they now use low VOCs and the smell goes away much quicker than the older stuff, which gave me peace of mind. I reviewed stain samples right then and we chose a slightly darker color stain to camouflage some of the nail damage from an old carpet installation. During the job, he worked with my project manager who told me his team was prompt, professional and delivered an absolutely beautiful floor. They even stained all of the thresholds including the entry so that it would match the floor! The last perk was being able to pay the deposit and final invoice from my computer at home. I highly recommend Monteros for your hardwood flooring needs. What a pleasant experience!!!"

The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the oven was higher than the counter about a quarter inch while the back of the oven is flush with the counter. Before the kitchen floor was replaced with laminates, the entire oven was flush with the counter, and the reason was the laminate was installed under the front legs of the oven where the floor was bare before that caused the oven front to be elevated."
