"The end of the job was great. There were some scheduling issues to get the installers out to the job site. It took two times for them to come out. The first visit was to put the posts in and there was a gap in between setting the posts and installing the fence of approximately eight days and I felt it should have been handled sooner. It took about a half dozen calls on my part to get the job completed. The capabilities of the installers was outstanding but the communication with the company was problematic. I would still recommend this company just as so long as a potential customer is not in a hurry."

"We contacted Rick, of Diamond Welding, though a close friend of ours that had his wrought iron fencing refurbished years ago.  We supplied Rick with detailed pictures of our old gate and fencing that we needed refurbishing and the fencing to be shorted.  Also we supplied him with a detailed diagram of the new slab that we had just installed, including preformed holes in the slab to have the gate and fencing posts to be installed. Due to the large amount of corrosion and rust, Rick recommended that he could create a new gate but using decorative pieces from our old gate to match our other fencing on our property.  An estimate was given and accepted, Rick scheduled the pick-up of the old gate that afternoon.       Rich, the project lead man, picked up the gate and drew new diagrams of the dimensions and location of the new gate and fencing.  Rick notifying us by email that the work would take about a week.  Just over a week, Rick notified us of the work completion and the installation could be done that very afternoon.       Rich and his crew of two men, came out that afternoon and competed the installation.       Mahalo Rick and Rich and crew for a job well done!"

"It was very good. His work was excellent. When I called him in, he assessed what I wanted him to do. Initially I had told him I wanted a lot of wooden work replaced because I thought it was damaged-termite damage but he assessed it and realized I didn't need everything I had asked him for. So he just replaced the things that were necessary and I thought that was good because I think his price was fixed rate so the longer he stayed, the more it cost but that wasn't what he was trying to do. He was good on the followup and the call."

"He did fix and repair the various tasks assigned to him.  He did a decent job.  He worked unsupervised so he came and left and worked around his busy schedule while he attended to other jobs in between while finishing this project I assigned to him.  Therefore the job took longer than I expected.  He quoted me a rate higher than we originally agreed to and I felt he was taking advantage of me and the situation.  I did not like that style.  He started out great but it ended with great disappointment and a sour note. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Waianae, HI

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
