"We?re sharing our experience (photo batch 1/3) to inform future customers about the craftsmanship of KJ Natural Stone. We hired them through our contractor for a kitchen countertop and sink. Before pickup, I personally visited their location, where they showed me the slab they would be using, along with the sink. Unfortunately, the final product did not meet our expectations. Rather than making any claims, we are simply sharing photos of their work and letting them speak for themselves. Be aware that KJ Natural Stone may claim they had no direct business with us since they worked through our contractor. However, that does not change the fact that they were responsible for fabricating and supplying our kitchen countertop and sink. We hope this review helps others make an informed decision."

"I’ve used L&O for lawn service for several years and have had a great experience with them. So I am baffled as to why their bush group has been such a nightmare to deal with. I wanted the hedges to the left and right side of my house trimmed back. I should have realized something was wrong when I had to email and call several times to get service, found out that the person who came to my house and gave me the quote had quit the company, and was told “someone will come by in a couple of weeks.” The crew showed up when I wasn’t there and mangled one set of the hedges (nice rounded hedge cut into a lopsided box, and not cut back off the grass as requested), and the other hedge had only a small overhanging section cut back when I wanted the entire hedge cut back 1-2 feet. In order to meet their $500 minimum charge, I also had them put down pine needles in beds, and that was done sloppily with pine needles spilled over the stone trim and into the lawn. I called Joe, apparently the head of the crew, and said that the work was not done as I had explained to guy who gave me the quote. I could tell that my original instructions for what I wanted were not being communicated to the crew and asked him to come to the house so I could show him what I wanted and he could then tell the crew. He refused and gave me the same line, “someone will come by in a couple of weeks to fix it.” Well, they came by alright. Instead of correcting their work, they trimmed the hedges at the front and back of my house! The front hedges didn’t need it, and they killed a nest of baby birds in the rear hedge that my family was keeping track of and observing from our screened-in porch. I texted Joe and said I that was the last straw, and all of this would have been avoided he had simply come out and let me show him what needed to be done. Because the work I wanted was not done, and their crew was obviously so incompetent that I didn’t want them in my yard again, I refused to pay the $550 fee and told him if that’s a problem then have the owner contact me and I’ll explain what a hassle it has been to deal with them. Joe replied that he would take $50 off the charges, but L&O considered the work completed! So pay up. They’ve been dunning me since, but I will gladly see them in small claims court before I give them a cent for this nonsense. If for some reason you decide to hire them for bush work, I would insist on a specific time and day when you’ll be home, so you can explain to the crew what you want done and inspect their work right when they finish."

"This company has some of the rudest and most disrespectful people working there. Veronica and Jessica should not be in customer facing positions. The bathroom remodel was done well, but the tile installer needs a bit more attention to details. We still do not have glass and had to call the glass company last week directly for an update as they were not being provided by New York Renovations. NY Reno kept stating there’s a delay and timing is estimated. However, Glass Depot told us the deposit was never paid and that was 7 weeks after they came out for a template. Just called the glass company again for the first time since early last week after continued vague updates from NY Reno. One very helpful person told me that NY Reno just paid the deposit via ACH earlier this week and that they’d call back after asking around for a timing update. Never heard back, so I called again but was told that NY Reno had instructed Glass Depot to not speak with me. The woman at Glass Depot specifically said she was told by NY Reno to not discuss any financial information but could confirm that “the glass has been ordered”. However, when I called last week, that same person at Glass Depot said the deposit was not made and glass had not been ordered. Meanwhile, for weeks, NY Reno was providing random updates about our glass saying they haven’t heard from the glass company, or that it’s just one more panel to come in. Those seem to be false as well as the “receipt” they emailed which was a text only document on Microsoft Word (not images). I’m sure NY Reno will reply to this and say they have gone above and beyond to make us happy. Or, try to put the blame on us and call us rude for following up directly with their vendor, but we have plenty of emails and an outrageous to show this. Plus, a bizarre phone call from Veronica where she berated me by saying that I picked the wrong person to mess with, calling me insane, etc. Update: After I left a review on Google, Veronica from NY Reno emailed stating that they will no longer be in contact or respond to any form of communication until there is a glass install date. She also continued the false line of allegations regarding harassment. Their response to this review, negative criticism, and a customer pushing for concrete updates speaks volumes."

"Demolition and new build on a 40' retaining wall, about 2.5' high, at my foundation. The experience could not have been better. Fast consultation and estimate, competitive price, timely project start. Knowledgable about local soil conditions. Construction was professional-- solid footing, good drainage and backfill, with very nice block work. I highly recommend Holland's Hardscapes."
