"He was able to accommodate a Saturday schedule. Although we had some communication delays, he promptly advised me that due to an emergency, he was not able to keep the original scheduled time. He kindly re-scheduled a Sunday morning in order to accommodate my tight weekend schedule. He fixed the problem with the dryer. Also, he took note of my model and serial numbers in the event the problem re-occurred - it would more than likely be an electronic board problem. In that event, he asked that I call him and he would research the cost in advance for a replacement electronic board. Very accommodating, pleasant, knowledgable and professional."

"I had washed 2 heavy scatter rugs in my 30+ year old Whirlpool.  Next time I used the washer, the water would not work to fill the machine. I called  Gallagher Appliance Repair, and Chris Gallagher came to fix it..  I was very impressed with this young man and how he worked to track down the cause of the problem. He was also very personable and explained to me what he was doing. I enjoyed talking with him.
He found the problem and fixed it. The machine worked. The charge was $90.00.
Later when I went to use the machine, the water filled but drained right out.  I called Chris and he told me that unfortunately it was the timer and he would have great difficulty finding parts because the machine was so old. I needed a new machine, and I asked him, in his experience, which was the best brand to purchase.  I  purchased that brand and was very happy with it.
Chris refunded me $40.00 on that service call, and I was very happy with how it all worked out.  I would most certainly call Chris at
Gallagher Appliance Repair for all my needs,  I have been stung before by others (before Angie's List) but my experience with him has caused me to have utmost confidence in his ability and his integrity.

"I thought it was just a simple job to unclog my sink, Abraham not only change the rusted parts he recommended and replaced the rust pieces with better parts. I was thinking I am not going to be able to pay him when he was finished because of all the work he had to put in not only was I satisfied with the work he did not over charge me. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
