"I'd used TruGreen in the past is why I chose them for my lawn care. I was originally set up on 4-6 week intervals to accomodate my financial needs. Everything was going as planned until I got a fertilization/weed control treatment & aeration in Sep within a week apart. I didn't realize what happened until I received the bill and contacted them to report a duplicated charge. I was told one of the charges included an aeration treatment and was a one time application indicated in the contract. This was not my understanding and must have been in very small print I could not read. When first asked about doing aeration, it was agreed to revisit in the fall. I was not asked, told or suggested this was being done so I got hit with that bill. Customer Service Rep was useless. Her resolution was to send someone out when I mentioned the service was incomplete since the gate was locked and the technician did not have access to my yard."

"The Auto Clinic verified my suspensions saving me $350. They were very professional and I brought my SUV in the next day to have a vibration in a wheel fixed. In the end I had two cars taken care of properly and saved nearly $450."

"Due to wet weather, we had a mess after having a new driveway installed.  The mess overflowed onto neighbors property, and could get worse if we didn't come up with a solution to stabilize the small hill on our side.  This late in the season, so I wasn't sure that it was going to happen.  I contacted a few companies, and Scott was one who came out to discuss solutions with my S/O while I was out of town.  I thought that his solution was our best shot.  A big bonus was that he had another job that was delayed,  he could get out pretty quickly.  We had a miscommunication due to texting instead of calling(on my part) that created confusion, but once resolved, he was able to take care of my lawn and keep his guys working during their unexpected delay.  It was a win-win.  When I came home from the airport, they were finishing up, and it looked 1000% better.  He was very accommodating about making sure the neighbor's property was covered first, but ended up having enough sod for full coverage.  Scott explained how to properly water it for a better shot at rooting prior to winter which is quickly approaching.  He also gave us a few more pointers on properly caring for the lawn...both the new sod and the rest of the yard.  They did a great job and I will be calling them in the spring to quote on some further work that is needed. <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Warrensburg, MO

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
