Rob, Operations Manager, came out for a pre-construction meeting to explain exactly what and how the crew would perform the replacement, safety methods, home protection, cleanup and photo documentation during construction. On the day the work was performed the amazing hard working crew, led by Armando, worked as prescission drill team, continuously non-stop. They completely cleaned up all material that floated onto my neighbors areas. I did not find any debris that was overlooked. "I thought the work needed was way to expensive compared to other estimates I received who were willing to do the same thing with one exception (adding a closet door).  Even if that was not a factor, I would have thought they were way to expensive for me. My bathroom is very small.  I had a friend of mines have her bathroom done and it was very upscale with all the trimmings.  Her bathroom is twice the size of mines and it cost her only $10,000 to get it done.  I don't want fancy or upscale (lack of better term) just nice.  So I thought the price was a bit much.   I think they are a reputable company, just not for me.  Overall, the absolute deciding factor was how many "questions" were asked that I thought were to personal (where do I work, what do I do, etc).  I intensely dislike this!  Even if the price was great, I would have said, "no" because of that alone!  He probably meant no harm, but due to the time we live in, it is a little spooky when people ask you questions such as these that you don't really know.  It's not that I can't afford to pay the estimated price, I just choose not to.  I want to have both bathrooms done at some point,  but not at $24,000 (estimate).  My bathrooms are small.  If they were larger I could understand.  But they are small.  Again, I do feel this is a reputable company, but I just didn't want to pay that price for a small bathroom nor do I like personal questions from people I don't really know."

"We originally contacted Tim Johnson from Lakewood Home Builders to get an estimate to fix our deck and screened porch. This project which we had envisioned to be a small repair turned into a much larger project. We ultimately contracted Lakewood Home Builders to completely renovate our deck/porch with composite, replace rotted framing, add lighting, and a new screen door. Tim was responsive and communicative throughout the job and his crew was always respectful, punctual, worked long days and did a great job tidying up the job site each day before they left. The finished product was exceptional. We were so pleased with the deck/porch that we decided to have Lakewood Home Builders renovate all 3 bathrooms in our home, beef up attic insulations, and replace all interior doors to include closet doors. The crew was always punctual, worked long days and cleaned up the job site each day before leaving. Like with the deck/porch renovation, Tim came by the job site every day. He communicated details of the progress and discussed any issues or concerns. The time he spent talking through minute details was comforting and helped us to make necessary decisions along the way.
