"We received prompt attention when I called for an estimate.  We went over what I needed done and walked off the project while measurements were taken.  The proposal was prompt with installation proposed to start in a reasonable time.  When the work started, the contractor installed fence around an area that was not supposed to be fenced.  This was not a problem for me but increased the proposed cost of the project.  I then learned that there was a mistake on the proposal.  The contractor based his estimate on a much smaller portion of my yard being fenced.  The contractor admitted that he remembered going over and measuring the perimeter that I desired.  We settled on the contractor absorbing the cost of the portion of my yard that I had not requested to be fenced.  For the portion of the project that was improperly estimated, we settled on my paying for the additional materials but not labor.  The added cost of the project was $850.  Had the proposal been accurately bid, the additional cost of the project would have played a part in my selection of a contractor and type of fence installed.  I suggest that if you use this contractor you should insist on a detailed sketch of the project.  We did not receive a drawing.   <br />    <br /> <br /> <br />"

Brent Davis responded to my call the same day, came out that evening to survey the task, and appeared the next day with an estimate for the job. The lowered second floor would then serve as basis for a one-story building to be outfitted with siding of hemlock board, windows, and ramp and door wide enough to admit my lawn care equipment. Shelving and a pull-down ladder to a loft area would be installed. Finally, an area to store firewood open on the sides but covered by a roof would be attached at the rear of the building.</p> <p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> </p> <p>A work crew of six to eight members worked on the building all day from early in the morning to early in the evening for a week. Brent was on site frequently to supervise or perform work himself. My suggestions were solicited and I was invited to watch the work in progress.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was very pleased when the project was completed. The building appears as if it were newly constructed. The carpentry work is of high quality. I believe the agreed price was reasonable and fair. I definitely plan to contact B. "Everything went well.  I found the crew to be exceptionally helpful.  They took the time to patiently explain to this city slicker what needed done, how to do it and when to do it.  Also, the top Joe -- the team that worked on my place were three Joes and a guy named Bob -- had helpful ideas on what to plant where.  We'll be planting trees sometime in late October. <br />"

They were cheaper than Invisible Fence or a regular fence, and they got the underground fence installed quickly and efficiently in just a couple of hours. "The crew showed up bright and early in the morning and discussed the project with me before starting.  They were polite, friendly and respectful and seemed to have a good grasp of the job.  Before long the fence/gate were down and the skid was maneuvering into the yard.  They worked hard and diligently and I actually felt sorry for them because they were really getting chewed up and beaten up by those thorns.  I gave them all heavy duty work gloves and they were much appreciative.  They worked tirelessly all day.  I was impressed by how well the driver could maneuver that skid in such tight spaces.  By late afternoon everything was pulled out, cleaned up and hauled away and there was no damage to my property.  Even as hard and exasperating as the job was, the crew remained upbeat all day and kept reassuring me that they would get the job done---and they did. <br /> However, the one thing I didn't anticipate were the deep ruts in my yard from the skid but it couldn't be helped.  When I inquired about fixing them, I was informed that there would be an additional charge to haul in dirt.  I decided to wait on that since I will be contracting to landscape along the new privacy fence next year---I will just have them do everything all at once.  But if you are asking for an initial quote, you may want to consider the cost of yard restoration as well if they need to use a skid.  I hadn't thought of that at the time of my quote.  But the final cost of the job came in as quoted. <br /> Overall, I am very pleased with their work and I won't hesitate to talk to them when it comes time to landscape the new fence. <br />"
