"We retained Elite Finishes for the painting of our entire first floor and two rooms on the second floor. Prior to painting, we replaced all trim and added wood feature walls, new balusters, a large fireplace mantle, and hallway lockers. Chad provided a comprehensive estimate and timeline for completion of the work. He was very responsive and available to answer our questions. Throughout the entire process, Chad was just a text or phone call away, often responding immediately or within a few hours. Due to circumstances beyond his control, Chad and his team (Jon) got started slightly later than planned, but it worked out in such a way that the team could complete large chunks of the work all at one time. Chad and Jon did an amazing job - the lines are clean and crisp, the new trim and millwork have no brush or roller lines, the ceiling is flawless, and walls are patched perfectly. We could not be happier with the quality of the work. We also relied on the team to provide input on our color selections and correct sheens for the various areas in our home. The work took roughly 3 weeks. The team was punctual, friendly, contentious and cleaned up all areas every day they were here. "David gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work to be done. He asked for 1/2 up front. As a previous small business owner I did not feel this was unreasonable so I paid him 500.00. He estimated the work would take 3 to four days and I thought the same. After several no shows the "mason" showed up. The first clue was he came in a car. According to my wife he was here 2 hours and left, came back for another 2 hours the next day and left again. He said nothing to my wife about leaving or when he would be back. David called a day later to ask about coming out to look over the job and get the rest of the other 500.00. I said he isn't finished and he's only been here 4 hours. So then I looked up the prevailing wage in IL for a mason and found out it is 28.50 an hour. The next day the guy comes back for another 3 hours. David came to look at the work and I walked him around and showed him all of the places that had not been done. So the guy comes back again for about an hour. All told it was 8 hours work, nothing to write home about but it was agreed up front that I wasn't looking for an exposed brick look. I need it tuck pointed well enough so that I could drylock and paint the exposed brick. I will say this was done in the end. The worker left a mess that I and my wife had to clean up, I pointed this out to David as well. I told him I felt he was overly paid for the amount of work preformed and that was the end of it. It's really to bad. It's difficult to get contractors to do small jobs and I had plenty for him to do. I'm not unhappy, just would not hire again"

He was very professional, he researched any required permits, he sent product information for the stain he was using, he arrived when stated and worked hard through some sweltering summer days. "I hired them to paint the house, but they also do carpentry and they built great shelves for me and a bed, which looks awesome. They did a great job on all my projects. Also, the tile guy who I hired did a lot of rotten work and left a lot of stuff unfinished, and they finished his work for me reasonably, including stain, baseboard and quarter round. They always showed up when they said they were coming and they finished in a timely manner. Best of all, they didnâ t complain when I asked them to repaint stuff and often they didnâ t charge me for it, which is good because I change my mind a lot. Additionally, they were able to offer their opinions when I asked them about colors and ideas for building stuff. Most of all, they were pleasant, friendly and I enjoyed their company. I mustâ ve texted them a million times and called them frequently, and they always answered me and got back to me soon. All in all, a good experience!"
