"Van Cleave Construction were very helpful in helping us decide on a solution to remodeling our 30+ year old master bathroom shower on a limited budget. <br /> We used the Onyx shower surround, which is a composite material, not tile or fiberglass. Examples can be seen at Ekards on the North Belt highway. <br /> After demolition, we discovered a serious code violation where an issue with the electrical wiring for adjoining rooms was not properly secured or routed away from the plumbing fixtures. Van Cleave was very prompt in getting a licensed electrician to come out and make the required repairs before moving on.  <br /> The installation took less than two days. There was an issue with the glass doors coming loose from the mounts in the tracks and they sent someone out immediately and made the proper adjustments. The doors are now safe and secure. <br />"

"<p>He has done a custom-built closet, which turned out beautiful. He also has completely gutted and remodeled a downstairs bathroom. It turned out beautiful. We bought our hot tub from him when he was in the hot tub business. We have had the hot tub for 16 years. He does very good work and is pretty knowledgeable, but one has to have patience with him because he gets off in different directions sometimes. I put up with it because I like what he does. Some people might be a little bugged because sometimes he says he will be back tomorrow, but then doesn't show up until several days later.  The only issue I have with him is his timeliness. He is working on my deck right now. He is repairing where I have a 100-year-old tree that grew and put a hole in the deck and buckled it up. We are just getting started on that project. For us he has done carpentry, plumbing -- he installed all the toilets and did all the plumbing work. He is also a licensed electrician so he has done electrical work and you name it -- deck work. He is kind of a jack of all trades. Right now I know he is working on someone's basement, supporting steel beams and all that stuff. That is why he has not finished my deck work because he is busy with the basement. He also put in our garbage disposal for us. That guy has done so much I can't remember everything. I have been dealing with him, probably, 20 years plus. On the fence his cost was about $3,000 and the materials were the other $3,000. He will save people money because he has the customer buy the materials after he tells them what he needs. He takes no markup in the materials. He even went with me when I  bought the materials for the fence. He only charges you for his labor. I have several other project for him to do including putting on a garage roof. </p>"

Conscientious of  our personal space and thoroughly explained his company's products. I am very grateful that he listened to our needs and helped us to make an appropriate selection. He made sure all available discounts were afforded to our estimate. Which, by the way, was no different than the final bill. Throughout, Kirk has followed the team from Kape. Making sure of both the progress and our satisfaction every step of the way. Even driving out of his way, mid-installation to check in on the event. <br />  The crew member were a perfect picture of efficiency!  Every member on time. They arrived in tandem and all proceeded with their jobs immediately. First  placing tarps to protect our home, through out. Then having every single supply in order and available to themselves.  <br />  Yes, I have had workmen need to use my extension cords. <br />  Not these guys! Awesomesauce!! For a job that I was prepared to take all day, they were in and out of here in a matter of hours. They even took time to indulge my disabled son. Took time to answer even his questions. Not everyone does that.  All four were very polite and exceptional to deal with. The whole time being respectful of our home. What a joyful and pleasant surprise. Right down to a fabulous job on even the clean up. Above and beyond, I would say. <br />  The change from our old windows was immediate and phenomenal!
