"They were hard-working guys, very polite and conscientious and got the job done when they said it would be. They need to work on perfecting their skills, just a bit. However, I think it is a very new and young company. Given their attitude and work ethic, there is much potential for Patricks to become a quality landscape company."

"Great service. Janice came out same-day to give an estimate. She returned with her crew a few days later to complete the work. We had dealing with water pouring into our basement due to low grade and bad window well. The work she did was outstanding and for the first time in months, we didn't have water in the basement after it rained. Her crew was very professional and friendly. We'll have them out again to take care of any other landscape issues."

"These guys worked their butts off to do a quality job. They are dependable and knowledgeable. We hired them to lay a grouted stone patio and later to remove overgrown bushes. Work was completed as promised and for the quoted price."

"Ana Karen and her team were very quick to respond to the request for quote. They came out and looked at the project and provided an estimate within 24 hours. They showed up as scheduled to remove/fill in an in ground pool. 75 yards of back fill, top soil, seed and hay blankets. All done in 8 hours! They went over and above, taking time to rework an area of my yard next to the excavation that was not part of the contract but would not have looked right with the new seeded area. They repaired the area that was rutted while hauling the dirt to the backyard and cleaned everything up. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them!"

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Wauwatosa, WI

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
