"I'm an architect w/ over 3,000 completed projects throughout the US and having moved to Fairview/TX last year, had found that most local residential contractors had been spoiled by quick-n-dirty/just-for-looks Developers. Vent Tech/Plano's quality & thoroughness of their work, however, is amongst the best & the most honest professionals I've ever retained. I was too busy w/ the move and, our previous/unscrupulous GC installed badly undersized & even sub-code vent ducts for the installation of a 48"/1,000cfm hood, just taped together. Vent Tech's Field Rep came, assessed the situation, Robert/Owner followed up w/ a very reasonable/fair quote and was able to send people almost immediately, as we've been w/o a Kitchen Hood for over a month. I was prepared for a super messy job, having to tear up the pantry wall behind & its ceiling, after which to hire a drywall/painter/etc. When Jose P & Enrique came, however, Jose, immediately suggested a different, less messy approach (w/o demolition of walls/clg), simply replacing an existing undersized rectangular duct w/ a custom/larger rectangular duct & pipes/connectors w/ 1 less 90degrees bend. Every duct connection was carefully fitted, bolted, duct taped carefully and, then, in places where needed, brushed over thoroughly w/ fiber-reinforced duct sealant Mastic (for added leak prevention). Then, they completely cleaned up after themselves. These are steps expected in commercial projects & from quality/professional contractors, but many residential subs won't take (especially around here), either under price pressure &/or greed. Cheap, most often, is just that,....CHEAP. When you want professional/quality & dependable work for reasonable/fair price, call Vent Tech."

"It is hard to believe a once reputable company could handle my home recklessly and create more damage than they came to repair. They were hired to clean dust from redoing hardwood floors. Period. They sent a third-party team - without disclosing it - which somehow stirred up soot with their air cleaning machine. When they came to fix their own mess, their hoses ruined the newly done hardwood floors with scratches and scraped the new wallpaper. They poured water on the floors and scrubbed them such that they also buckled. Everything had to be redone. They would not accept responsibility, They literally RUINED the rooms they were in when they came to clean dust. Just dust. The crews tried to blame the A/V techs who were working in another part of the house and didn’t have any equipment on them but tablets for programming. But we quickly saw that lack of accountability starts with the owner, who has never called back. Upon researching how this company could have become so incompetent,, I learned they over priced services when people’s home insurance will pay. This once was an honest business. Now, it is NOT. It is a hazard to bring them into your home. It is corruption."

"I bought a new dryer and had it installed professionally. Within the first week, I got an error message on the dryer that said "check dryer vent. Blockage". Something like that that the dryer would then turn off mid-cycle. Well I thought I'd gotten a lemon appliance because I'd cleaned the vent about 6 months prior. Maytag sent Guinco Repair out to assess. Their tech showed me the air flow reader saying yes, there was a blockage in the vent that was causing insufficient air flow. It was not the appliance. OK.... now what? Guinco referred me to Steve at Dryer Fighters. I called and left a message. Steve got right back to me and was able to come out within 48 hours. His vehicle was clearly marked and he wore a company shirt. Steve asked me several questions to decide how best to proceed. First he cleaned the vent, but still I had poor airflow. Some lint was removed but not enough to be the source of the problem. Then he got up on the roof to inspect the vent cover. Low and behold he found the problem. He was able to snap a photo of the issue to show me. I had my roof replaced just prior to my old dryer overheating and blowing out. The roofer crew crimped and squished my vent pipe down to fit a contemporary style "low profile" vent cover, rather than cutting it to fit the cover. This was causing the blockage. (The old vent cover sat about 12" off the roofline.) I contacted the roofer and to their credit, they sent someone that same day and cut the vent down to the roofline and fixed the problem. Bottom line, no one could explain why I was having problems with my dryer until Steve solved it! He's the best! He's earned my appreciation and I will call him again next year when it's time to clear out the vent! THANK YOU, STEVE!"

"I would never ever hire this company again. This company will make your life miserable and cause you a lot of unnecessary stress. If you hire this company, please make sure you can go to top of the roof and inspect their work once it is done. Initially, they send couple great employees to inspect the chimney and give an estimate which makes one think that he or she is hiring a great company. However, the work they do can be better by ten years old. This company provides bad quality of work and poor workmanship and they make a lot of excuses and false statements. Again, please make sure you can inspect their work if you hire this company. I would not give them a single penny until they finish the work and it is inspected by the home owner. I found many mistakes and damages to my existing shingles. Be very careful."
