"This is the second time I've hired Del Mar for my landscaping needs and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They've managed to turn my overgrown, junky backyard into a beautiful oasis. They removed all of the ugly, weed-infested planters I had and put down a high quality artificial turf. They also made sure my palm trees were removed from their cracked pots and planted into the ground, and help me replace a dead orange tree. Everything looks fantastic now. Before the end of the year, I plan to have them help me turn and overgrown area behind my garage into a hidden private grotto with a jacuzzi and gazebo."

"Our front yard needed some structure. Gadi helped design and build two entry pillars in stone masonry, plus a new walkway to the door. The old path was narrow and cracked, and the new one is wide and fits the property better. The pillars gave us a real entrance feel. They also ran low-voltage lights inside the pillars so they light-up at night. It's not flashy, just clean and sharp. The stone matches the front steps, and everything feels like it belongs now. Gadi and his crew kept things simple and stuck to our request. Would work with them again."

Rick, the field manager,was cordial and beyond awesome with his professionalism and design recommendations that more than fit my budget and landscape requirements. I was provided with photos and illustrations that help determine exactly the design I was looking for. He also kept me informed in a timely manner on every step of the project completion stage. "Danny and his crew were great to work with. They showed up on time and really worked their tails off on some of the hottest days we had this summer. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted so Danny came up with design ideas that I am really p!eased with. He obviously listened to what I was saying. "Nick was great, very personable. However, he wanted to charge us a fee to draw anything up before the work began. I understand the point of a design fee, and know that it's not uncommon. But we were only wanting a sketch as we talked about it, and instead, he wanted something like $350 with only a small portion of that going to the overall price. We discussed how we'd use the Angie's List deal (if I'm not mistaken, it was $2800 work of work for $1499 including 15 plants, succulents costing more, and a line of water to be laid down - the deal is now gone). I provided 9 plants, pavers and a tree myself. I'll also state - he asked me to pay a portion up front, and the remainder at the conclusion of the job, instead of going through Angie's List for payment. The guys worked quickly, and were polite and friendly. They finished in 2 days. A week later, one of the valves busted on the sprinkler system, and our backyard flooded a bit. Their guy came out the following day and replaced the defective part, and dug up our drain. That was 2 weeks ago, and the yard is still a bit muddy - not their fault, obviously. But I wanted to provide photos of the work. It's beautiful, they did a great job. We have a decomposed granite path from the side of the house to the back door, and all the rest of the area is mulch and several plants. My issue is that the invoice I received is very "general". See photo. I requested via text message a more in depth invoice after the fact, and was told by Nick that "that would be it." I see no evidence that I got the Angie's List deal, nor any credit whatsoever for the plants I provided instead of using his. Looking back, had I purchased the package through the website itself, perhaps he'd have a better accounting of the various aspects of the job. We have one of four sections of the backyard now complete, and to be honest, I don't believe we'll be using this company again. It's a huge yard, and a very costly endeavor. We just want to know where our money goes/went."

Professional manner good response.  Called for second application did not have to call them. It did help my lawn.  Did not go for the continuous service to the lawn as it wasn't in my budget as this time.

"Wes and his crew have worked with us before (May 2016 - see prior review ) so our expectations were high based on the prior high-quality experience. They exceeded our high expectations in terms of quality and time to get the job done. His description of his company states 'we build your dreams' and this could not be more accurate. We thought about this space for quite some time and had very specific requests about building materials (we wanted Ipe hardwood and particular stones and particular lights and a particular avocado tree!). He took our poorly drawn sketch and turned it into our dream side yard. Turned out as we expected only the color of the wood really pops and looks amazing against the rock. As with the last job, he pays attention to all of the unseen structural details - the stepping stones are all cemented in and level, the planters - while appearing to be above ground - are all anchored and level. This team really does pay attention to detail and doesn't just throw things together. I have to say - I did not even bother getting a competing bid because our prior experience with Wes was so great and we are so happy with the quality of the work. We'll have him out one more time for a final project we have planned in a year or two - have to dream it up! I told Wes he is always welcome to use our yard as a 'reference' - it is a dream come true space."
