"Brian was prompt, courteous, direct and very helpful.  At this point, we are holding off on the specific project we discussed with him but would certainly bring him in again should we need any painting services. <br />"

"<p>            We originally found Mr. Pearl through this service. From the first phone call Mr. Pearl "Troy" was a professional and that carried through out the job. He was very detail oriented and settled any concerns that I had with answers that he had obviously  gotten from years of experience. Once I explained what I wanted he gave me some options that I had not considered that actually saved us money. Once we decided on a price that was what I consider fair, we signed a contract that spelled out everything he and I were responsible for. </p> <p>           Since this was a second home and I would not be there during the construction of the addition It was tough to put my faith in someone we had just met but it was worth it, Troy is a man of his word they were at the job when we agreed his people were neat and the workmanship was quality. I would not hesitate to recommend his operation to anyone. </p> <p>            The job involved an addition to an existing log home, He started when he was suppose to and any delays were weather related or due to change orders, they matched the new part so that it looks like it was there from day one. The project also needed some site work as well as concrete, electrical, and plumbing. </p> <p>              I really did not have any serious issues once we started and If I have any issues at all they are not with Pearl Contracting they were with the subs he used specifically the plumbing and alarm co. I'm pretty sure that if you ask Troy he either is not using them anymore or will tell you what the issues were.     </p> Regardless of the subs lacking Troy made what they were responsible for happen. <br />"

They went above and beyond to ensure the highest quality of work was done and were very considerate and knowledgeable along the way. I would highly recommend this service and would definitely hire again."

"I live in Vancouver, BC and the company is based in Houston, TX so a degree of trust is necessary before any order is placed. In my case the awning was sent via truck freight and a large metal-clad crate arrived, seemingly intact. Not immediately apparent when the goods were received was the fact that a fork lift had penetrated the base of the crate and crushed the canopy beyond repair. When I attempted to claim damage insurance from the shipper they sent out a damage inspector and I thought everything was on-track. To my amazement, the freight company declined responsibility for the damage and refused to pay any part of the claim. At this point James Threadgill of Classic Copper Works stepped in to offer a full replacement of the damaged item at no cost to me. I have now received the replacement item (this time sent by FedEx rather than the dodgy truck freight firm) and it is perfect. Classic Copper Works certainly did not make a profit on this transaction but they earned my respect. Thanks."

"<br /> Elizabeth has been cleaning houses now for several years and is by far the best bang for my buck that I've found.  We have 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats and we all live a very busy life.  Elizabeth came to our house this spring and in just a few short hours had the house looking like nobody lived here!  Her attention to detail is second to none, and she is a disinfectant junky almost to a fault!  She not only cleans our house spotless, including toilets, windows, dishes etc, but on several occasions she has made meals for us when we were busy and on the run as well as doing some grocery shopping for us as well.  She has done yard work, exterior and interior painting as well as many other jobs for us.  I don't think there's anything that this woman cant do, or isn't very accomplished at.  She always wears a big smile and has a wonderful, friendly and caring personality to go along with it.  Our family loves her to death and she has become an important part of our family and we consider her a trusted personal friend.  She is always punctual and if for some reason she is going to be late or needs to reschedule she always calls as soon as she knows her schedule needs to change....which isn't very often.  She dresses appropriately and is very professional at all times.  On occasion she has even acted as our own personal therapist if we needed someone to talk to, and gives great advice to us all.  She is not only an irreplaceable asset to us professionally, but she has become an irreplaceable friend.  I can assure you that anyone who hires this young lady to work for them will not be disappointed whatsoever. <br />"

"My old unlocked mailbox was beat up by vandals and left on the ground - broken and mis-shapened - and my mail missing! So, I looked up mailboxes in my community and found 'LOCKING MAILBOXES' in Paradise. The owner, James Richards, came out to my home that day to take a look. He then helped me choose the right secure locking curbside mailbox that fit my home and property needs. I bought the Columbia Mailbox with matching post which was $200 plus shipping and an additional installation cost of $50. It took just a few days and he was ready to install my mailbox - and what a difference it made! It improved the curb appeal of my home but more importantly, I felt protected from theft that my mail and packages will be secure, even if I go away for a few days. All the secure mailboxes are reasonably priced and crafted in the USA. Mr. Richards was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly! I would defiantly recommend LOCKING MAILBOXES! It was a pleasure doing business with him!"

FAQs for handyman service projects in West-Forks, ME

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
