"I contacted Chris back in June 2019 when I was first purchasing my home and his communication has always been excellent. I contacted him again in April 2020 after I removed multiple spruce trees from my property line. I told him exactly what I wanted. After giving me his expert advice, he installed a vinyl fence and a chain-link gate with white slates that are better than I expected. My family and I have been in our yard every day since the project was completed. It took about 4 days to complete and everything Chris said he would do he did. "They cleaned my gutters. They did a nice job of hauling all the stuff away so they didn't just throw it all on the ground. They put it all in a bucket and hauled the stuff away so I didn't have gunk all over my yard. They were clean and professional about it. They did an estimate to do some roof repairs too, but it has taken them 2 months to get back out here so that was kind of interesting. I think they were probably busy from their estimate or something."

"The project came out much better than I ever thought it would. We had pulled up the carpet and tile on the basement floor and it had left a black mastic that we could not get up. We did not want either tile or carpet back in the basement in case of any water leeks. Although  A O Handy is in Wisconsin, they assured me that it was not a problem for them coming to Chicago for the work. They ground down the cement floor in the basement (about 1000 sq ft) to remove the mastic and to level out some floor. In addition, they filled holes with a cement that matched the existing floor. They applied a clear sealer to the floor. While they were there, they suggested that they seal the concrete floor in the garage. Since they had all the materials there already, the cost would be significantly lower. Made sense to me, so I had them do that also. In that I had put most of the things from the basement in the garage, preping the garage was a huge job. The guys helped me clear out the garage and were a big help, especially with the heavy things. The only down side to the project was the odor from the sealer. The garage odor cleared out quickly, but it took weeks for the basement to air out since there was so little ventilation there. The finished results: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE??..

"Over a period of 2 years, Zimmerlee installed a total of 33 windows on my 2 story duplex.   Some of the living and dining room windows were quite large.  Eight windows were installed in the fall of 2011 and the remaining 25 were installed in December of 2012.   I have had several winters to evaluate them and I'm extremely happy with the quality of the Ply-Gem Premium double-hung windows.   In once instance, Mike Zimmerlee pointed out a minor surface defect that I probably wouldn't have noticed, and obtained a replacement.   The crew was very professional and cleaned up well afterword.   They forgot to caulk one window in my rear hallway, but Mike Zimmerlee returned to do it personally when it was brought to his attention.  The Ply Gem windows aren't the cheapest on the market, but they are very well made, and my home is much more comfortable in the winter as a result of this improvement.   I would recommend this contractor to anyone.
