"James from Beantown was prompt, all communications were polite, clear and friendly. He was honest about not knowing if he could guarantee the Hardie siding against woodpeckers but he gave me his list of references. The third call connected me with someone who also had woodpecker problems with wood siding. He confirmed that since the installation of Hardie concrete fiber siding, there has been no further woodpecker problem. Once convinced that this product would help resolve our issue, the process was smooth and fast. Contract signed, work started in 6 days and finished in 2. Excellent worksmanship (product appears almost seamless) and thorough clean up after the job. Our old house has settled and windows are crooked. The workmen cut in around them with good precision. We will have the opposite end of the house sided in the spring and will hire Beantown again to do it."

"Bourke Remodeling has worked with us on several projects, the major one being a kitchen remodel and a masonry rebuild and roofing a new shed. They did a great job and we were so pleased with the entire experience. In spite of our own sometimes fickle process and requests, Erick and Tom worked with us in a cheerful, patient and expert way and with great skill to achieve the kitchen we were envisioning. The whole process was fun, enriching and resulted in a kitchen that precisely fits what we envisioned--an updated kitchen that retained its original character while making it new again. We smile every time we enter it. Thank you so much Erick and Tom for your patience and professionalism. "

"Since we have had ice dam damage during two major snow storms over the past 10 years, our roof was 16 years old, and are planning to sell our house in 2019, we asked Power to assess the roof condition and give us an estimate for replacement. The salesman did a thorough inspection and pointed out several instances of wear and damage to both the roof and fascia boards. Although he spent much too long going over the Power products and the procedures (till too late at night), we were impressed by Power's multi-faceted approach to preventing ice dams and other water damage. What sold us on doing the roof now, however, before selling the house, was the salesman's assurance that the warranty was backed by a national company and transferable to the new owners. Since we have Gutter Shield gutter guards, he said that we'd need to have those removed by the Gutter Shield installer before the roof was done and then replaced afterwards. He did not tell us (and perhaps did not know), that replacing the fascia required removing the gutters and that they would need to be replaced exactly as before in order for the gutter guards to fit. This turned out to be a major problem. When the pre-install inspection manager came to go over the procedures and schedule the work, he told us that the gutters would have to be removed and there would be an additional charge to reinstall them. Because of the misunderstanding, he waived the re-installation charge---but apparently also did not know about the problem of re-installing the gutter guards onto gutters that were no longer exactly in the same place. Power sends a large crew, so the roofing job is normally completed in one day. We had some rain, so it took two days, which was not a problem and the roofing part of the job seems to have been done quite well. The supervisor of the roofing crew was super helpful and kept us abreast of everything they were doing. The fascia and gutter crew, however, had no obvious supervisor and did not communicate with either us or the roofing supervisor. Moreover, they used our vinyl deck railing to support a ladder (unnecessarily in our view) and damaged the railing, and they remounted the front gutter with too steep an incline (by a factor of two or more). Power sends a quality assurance manager after completion of the job to make sure everything is in order, provide the warranty information and collect the payment. When we read the warranty we discovered that Power's labor warranty is not transferable, contrary to what the salesman had told us. (The GAF shingle warranty is transferable, but that's true with any roofing company.) Since this was the decisive feature that led us to contract with Power, we raised objections. The quality assurance manager called the regional project manager, who prepared an addendum extending the labor warranty to the next owners. He also offered to pay the cost of having the Gutter Shield installer rehang the gutters with a correct incline. The pre-install inspection manager suggested that Mr Clean MagicEraser could be used to polish up the damaged railing (which we have successfully done) . Overall we were pleased with the company's thoroughness, quality of product, and communications. We would rate the work an 'A' except for the untruthful statements of the salesman and the poor communication and sloppiness of the fascia crew. We did not receive other quotes for the work, so we suspect that Power's was on the high side, though not too much out of line compared with what we paid in 2002. If the Power roofing system prevents future ice dams, any extra cost will be well worth it."

"Very nice people who replaced trim on our house which has hardy board siding. They replaced the trim well but 3 stars because they did a poor caulking job. They returned to correct things, and it looks better but not how it should look. They're probably good at many other jobs. "

"I was very happy with this company from the delivery of materials to the courteousness of the crew and the workmanship they did. There was one day of rain which delayed the start of the project, and they still finished on time. About three months later I had an issue with some loose siding and the gutters not properly catching water. I called them in within a couple of weeks they were out here fixing the issues and again they were courteous, and did what they needed to do."

"I was so pleased having hired J&J Home Improvement to put siding on my house. They were all so professional and did an amazing job. I loved that they were so meticulous about everything they did and it shows. You could tell they take pride in their work. They all have years of experience and you could tell it immediately. They knew what they had to do and did it without hesitation. First time ever that I've hired people who did not spend time on their cellphones! They gave me a date as to when they would be coming and ended up coming earlier, which I was thrilled about. Joe, the owner, gave me a couple of suggestions as to what to do with my sunroom, which I love. I never would have come up with those ideas. My neighbors came over to see what they did and one of them said he will hire J&J when he is ready to have his house done. I felt bad for the 4 guys because it was so hot out there for them, but they never complained. I had gotten several estimates and they ended up being the cheapest. I am having them come back for another job I need done. When we hire people to work for us we usually don't know what we're getting, but DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE J&J â ¦. they are the best! Believe me, you will not be disappointed!!! Oops, I can't forget Jennifer in the office â ¦ she was great and kept me informed on everything (contract, dates, times). A great company!!!!!"

"Short story: (we are first time homebuyers/owners) Punctuality & Responsiveness: - Started work 2-3 weeks later than promised - Numerous no call no shows and plenty of good days wasted with excuses - Project was supposed to be done first or second week of November did not finish until 12/23 - Was not able to have our family over for thanksgiving and had to cancel on everyone - Took time out of work just for them to say they be there and cancel the last minute Quality - 4x4 posts are not straight (see photos) - Stairs are held on by 5 screws and they are not secured directly to the 4x4 posts I think they poured footings wrong - Decking has multiple screw holes which should have been hidden and you can see miss cuts they were rushing the job just to get out of there. - Kickers on the stairs have at least a ½ inch gap with the front cap (see photos) - Railings were not measured correctly and shift around - J channeling around were old window was instead of full pieces of siding - Globs of caulking found on railings/windows - cap post is not secured - miss cut in decking - One of the windows shifts (left to right) inside the frame there is no draft so I suppose it is okay. When I asked I was told it is because the house was settling. I would think it could of been solved with a shim. - New window screens were painted (see photos) Professionalism - As mentioned punctuality was appalling - Was accused that this was not a high paying job due to the amount of time it took even though they were the ones who kept messing things up and/or not showing up. - Wrong parts ordered or missing. - My wife wanted a plastic barrier installed to keep the dust in they did put up a plastic tarp but it was not as effective as a barrier. - My wife asked them to remove their shoes and they did this almost every time they entered, which was nice and courteous. - They had to leave the job for another job due to wrong parts for the railings. They did return and finish the job within about a week and a half. Pricing - Fair pricing compared to other quotes and for Tony’s project they were not pushy on payment. I did have them do some side work and with that they were, but my grade does not reflect that. - I wanted to see the finished work before I paid him and due to my job that was not until Christmas day. Tony was fine with waiting until after christmas for final payment. Long Story: I want to start off by saying this only reflects the work I asked Precision Windows to do. I did ask for some extra work to be done with some painting and flooring. Tony came in and gave me an estimate for the project I just wanted to get some windows replaced and a way to access my backyard with a sliding door. The back of my house is about 3-4 feet off the ground so I needed a small deck and stairs. I was told the windows needed a month to come in as they were large and had to be custom made which I was fine with. I was also told that the work would begin the last week of October and take about 3 days to finish. I was fine one the price and the original time frame of everything but I asked Tony to let me know when he knew for sure the date. They delivered the materials to my house and put them in the front driveway with no cover for anyone to see/take even though I have a huge garage and the work was being done in the back. My wife was home that day and asked them to move it and she was told that they do not want to drive on the grass (even though they had permission from us) and that it would be too difficult to put in the garage. It was lowes that delivered it and not Precision so it isn't really his company but he should be aware who he does business with reason I mention this will be explained later on. Tony called me told me when it was going to start and I took the day out of work to be here for construction. The crew was a no call no show. I was told the next day of a family emergency. I was a little angry I wasted my vacation time and wasn't even told what happened but I understand life happens. Work did not begin until 2-3 weeks after the day I was told and we wanted to use the space for thanksgiving. During that time we had rain/snow and the materials I mentioned weren't covered I had to go protect it from the weather. I am a first time homeowner so I did not have any tarps or anything to cover material and had to borrow from family. (Which lives in another state) When work started it was slow and a struggle to get them to come. Family issues, weather, other projects all were told me as reasons why they could not come. A 3 day project turned into almost a 6 week project. When we asked them to correct things they either did wrong or improper we were told that we are being to nit picky and that this was not a high paying project. It was like they were blaming us when every delay was caused on their end. Refer to photos of somethings that are still not corrected. Multiple days they did show up and start the work I was told that they ordered the wrong part and they would be back tomorrow and they would not come for a couple days. At the end you can tell they just wanted to get out of there and they rushed the job. Update: After my previous review the company reached out to me and offered to fix the areas of concern from their previous work. It was nice and very professional of them, especially since I had already paid them and the work was completed. I agreed to allow them to work on my house as long as they sent a different worker than previously. They agreed and sent out two guys to come work on my house. Not only did they show up on time they stayed the full day until the work was done. There was no rescheduling, delays, or excuses this time around. They repairs to the previous work they completed included plugging up all the holes in the deck. They fixed the gaps/ miss cuts with my deck using new pieces. They removed the previous caulking which was placed and resealed my windows, caps, and bases on the posts of my deck. They removed the paint from one of my screens and replaced a second screen entirely. The biggest improvement is they resided my house to a color that matches our current siding almost perfectly. The previous siding used was far off from being a match. The extra work took 1 & ½ days, they worked full days, and they worked around my schedule to make sure they were there while I was there. Honestly I wish my experience was this way from the start. The follow up work was handled very professionally and they were courteous with my time. I am happy they came out to fix these problems and it shows signs of good customer service."

Mighty Dog Roofing was born when Kim and Jim Smith needed a new roof on their home. They reached out to the many local roofers for an estimate, but the experience left them confused and frustrated.\n\nKim and Jim saw an opportunity to change the industry and improve the process for homeowners. They founded our company with a commitment to exceptional customer communication and service. They pledged to treat each project like it was one of their grandparents homes. Partnering with Mighty Dog Roofing, a national franchise, gave them access to top-quality materials and warranties. Today, that same passion drives us, one home at a time, as our team delivers great roofs at fair prices, always keeping squarely focused on the wants and needs of each customer.
