"In the end, the project came out fine; however, it was like pulling teeth. Started out with a bad job of explaining options. We wanted a 1st class project with all the top-of-the line choices (what do I know about cabinet options?). Did not include soft close drawer hardware (we pushed a change order during construction), etc. We had to pull the information out during construction. He goofed on ordering parts (delayed the project considerably), did not want to cover all the surfaces with new white panels (did not want to remove the microwave or pull the fridge), never covered the cabinet bottoms (we have to have them painted), goofed up two drawer handles and did not reinstall the microwave vent. Finally, there remains a small gap at one of the drawers. I have no intention of calling to have it repaired. I will live with it. The thing about our project, it is the same owner who refaced our kitchen cabinets 15 years ago. That project went very smooth. Our expectations were to have every cabinet face, that was refaced 15 years ago, refaced again with the new color. That was clearly not his intentions for this project. We had to fight at every step."
