"My wife and I purchased a home in desperate need of a refresh and hired Phil and the crew at G&M Construction Group to renovate about 75% of our home including removing load bearing walls, renovating the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, basement, floors and more. First off Phil and his crew are some of the most professional people I’ve worked with.. always on time, seemingly always available, preparing quotes quickly, full in depth explanations.. the list goes on. Equally important, he is incredibly knowledgeable. We had a million questions and concerns and he was there to answer them all. He respectfully steered us away from things that in hindsight would have been a total disaster, but was respectful of the few things we could not budge on. The attention to detail was remarkable. He has a true passion for his work and takes great pride on anything he puts his name on. He always took the time to explain all aspects of the job and work to be done each day. As walls came down Phil inspected every inch of the house of any issues, leaks etc and arranged for everything to be fixed. He even caught things that the “home inspection pros” missed. My wife and I sleep better each night knowing that everything was thoroughly checked out. Also Phil’s network of electricians, plumbers, floor guys were great.. their work was also top notch. Lastly, we listened to Phil’s advice throughout the process and the finished product is truly unbelievable. Everyone that walks into our home is blown away by the craftsmanship, including us each and every day. Phil has a true skill, a wealth of experience, an eye for precise detail, a huge knowledge base, manages his crew efficiently and is overall a great, trustworthy guy to work with each day. I look forward to working with Phil and the crew for future renovations.. they are the only crew I’ll work with from now on. Overall we are so thankful to have hired Phil and his crew and for the tremendous job that they have done."

"I had them to redo my whole roof 1.5 year ago and I found a piece of shingle fell off recently. I contacted the owner and they stood behind their work and promise. He quickly scheduled a follow-up and sent his team to fix it in a short period of time. In these days you can easily find any contractors do the work and work away with your money. However once the job is done, you will never see them again when there are any issues. This will not happen to Hi Tech Contracting as they are professional, responsible and trustworthy. Highly recommended!"

"My driveway fell apart within days. The company is non-responsive to a warranty claim. It wasn't installed properly, and the gravel started flaking off immediately. It is already leaving depressions which will only get worse after winter. I have been chasing this company for months with vague promises they will look into it. Their last response was for me to sealcoat the driveway - at my expense! - which would only cover up the damage. I am pursuing a claim in court. Avoid this company if you don't want to have to do this."

"The project took much longer than expected to finish because there was a shortage in supplies. As soon as the supplies arrived, Ekram’s team resumed the work right away and worked through cold winter days to complete the project. Ekram is responsive to our requests. The workers are also friendly and professional although they needed reminders to keep the work areas clean sometimes."

"Working with Javier helps to understand how the insurance coverage works. This was not something I could have done on my own. Javier acted almost like an insurance attorney providing invaluable advice. So, the moral of the story is that you need Javier to guide you through your coverage. However, this does not mean that you leave everything to Javier and sit in the corner. You have to understand what is covered and what is not and be ready to supplement your extras out of your pocket to realize your own expectations. The paintwork is a good example; the insurance won't pay the Benjamin Moore paint, and what they pay for doesn’t do much beauty. Then you have to follow up and make sure you pay the extra for what you really want. This works with everything; if you work with Javier on your budget, you will need to take his lead with the third-party contractors. The other deceptive element of insurance is the timing; if you depend on the money coming from the insurance, the process takes forever. The insurance reinstallation is a business model, a system, and there is no logic to it. When supplemental requests are involved, the insurance pays $1000 to accommodation instead of instantly approving a $500 supplemental. The process is very frustrating, and people get frustrated; however, Javier NEVER says NO. Whatever you want, he finds a way to deliver. He did the re-paint job for free with the paint of my choice. I was unhappy with some installations. He immediately got them fixed. One other thing is that Javier never bothered me with payment timing. He was pretty flexible. He did not even call for follow-up. I read the negative reviews on the website, and I realized I had most of them myself, BUT the point is Javier is not the reason. Construction work is an expensive open-ended process; the products we usually get are not top-notch Armani Case; they are what insurance covers and the process is frustratingly time-consuming unless you pay up-front and ready to pay for extras. So the frustration-cause is not Javier; it is the difference between what it is and what we want to be. Javier worked on my place for several months; his team is reliable, honest, and trustable."
