"I've always liked Thayers, but the last job they did for us has just been problem after problem. They removed a ledge in our foyer and installed shiplap. The shiplap has been fine (hard to mess up shiplap), but all the drywall work they did prior to painting has been horrible. First they painted right over blemishes despite quoting us for wall repair. All the remodel work they did (ledge removal, etc) has caused severe wall cracking, etc. It was evident they didn't tape the drywall correctly. I've had to do numerous wall repairs since they did their work. We did call them back twice for repairs and one of the times the guy stood on a window ledge while repairing causing it to sink. So now that is crooked. It was never meant to support that kind of weight. Finally, they cracked one of our floor tiles either by dropping something or with their scaffolding. Frustrating experience that we will not repeat. Their pricing was extremely high too for what we got. Multiple contractors have told us that since."

We heard glowing reviews, but that must have been from over a decade ago because how IKES is treating customers and their tasks is abysmal. 1st job) done with 3 guys, we requested a camera. Camera Never happened. They "cleared" drain. We paid $380. We hired them 1-2 weeks later to hydrojet our French drain. After 1 attempt they said they couldn't accommodate the roots, charged us , and we paid $450 dollars for the second job. 1 week later (or 3 weeks since original clog) original clog clogs again. I call, say "yall were here 3 weeks ago, can you come fix this again? Can we use a camera!?" Yes they'll come back out "for $185" to finish what they didn't finish initially. 1 guy comes very late, think 3 hours after ETA at about 6:30 pm (because when he arrived at 5:30, he didn't have the draining equipment, or the camera, and when he returned at 6:30 pm he had still forgotten the camera) He couldn't release the clog. He was new and didn't have plumbing experience. He said he had been a plumber and with Ikes for 3 months. He got the machine stuck. At 7:30 pm he left saying " we'll be back in the morning to finish clearing" Never came back, never called. We called another plumber. He arrived within hours. He snaked the drain. He used his camera pre snake and post snake. He showed us the blockage. He was finished in under an hour. He charged $200 and I paid and tipped him on the spot. 2 months later I get my FIRST invoice from IKES for the 3rd job left undone. I CALLED ikes the following day, they said they would have the office manager call me back. NO BODY EVER CALLED ME BACK. But, I DID get word from IKES through a second party! They had sent my bill to COLLECTIONS. 5 days after I received my first invoice from IKES for their incomplete 3rd job (2 months after the initial 3rd call to IKES), I got a notice from Capital Accounts collections agency. At least The collections agency gave me 30 days to work with the issue! Way more time than IKES gives their clients to PAY for their shifty and incomplete jobs! IKES has a Sneaky and irresponsible way to collect money from their clients, for jobs they don't have the skills to accommodate. There are so many sewer services, if you save heartache, time , energy and money reading this note, then that's all I'm hoping for. Best wishes!"
