"I had a great experience with Perfection Metals and would recommend using this company. Not only were they offering a lifetime/transferable warranty, but the price was great. I had other estimates coming and was informed they would try to match the price if I got something lower. I didn't need them to do that, as they were the lowest. Garage Roof was on within in a couple of weeks. I had 1 issue, which I was nervous to ask about, but the project manager was very nice and concerned about my dissatisfaction. He made sure to take care of it right away and continued to check with me on the process to make sure i was happy. Love the new roof and especially love that there is no more water pouring down inside when it rains. Update: I have just had the roof on my house replaced. It was even a better experience than the garage. It looks great and every single person I dealt with at the company was once again polite, professional, understanding, and reliable. Great company to make you feel"

"I had originally called as I had some storm damage and needed them to look at a couple shingles. When they came out, they assured me they didn't need to go up onto the roof at all and told me I had some nail pops and the obvious shingles that were missing. I was quoted for the work (just under $1000) and had to put $500 as a deposit. fast forward to the day they came out. Not only did they bring a shingle not even close but when the project manager was up on the roof told me that I had way more going on up on the roof and they highly recommend replacing the whole roof due to water damage and condition of shingles. At this point I did my due diligence and shopped around after getting the quote for a full roof replacement. I got quotes from 4 other companies who all came up quite a bit lower (material costs across the board were lower), and the icing on the cake was the fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE asked me the question why didn't the first company go up on the roof at first as they all agreed I needed to replace it. So, if Cochran would have just went on the roof in the first place I wouldn't have had to even put the original deposit in which they didn't even fix issues as it needed replaced and so I paid essentially $500 for them to caulk a couple place and not just go on the roof THE FIRST TIME and find the issue up front... I called to let them know I was going with another company who was a much lower quote for the exact same work, and they didn't even offer a refund (ethical thing to do since they didn't even go on roof at first) and even admitted that they should have just gone on the roof the first time when I asked them to! If you are looking for a quote from this company, all I have to say is just avoid or be careful."

"Shape Plan (annual maintenance program) - Technicians present a sales pitch, with a video taken of your house, for "improvements" to your HVAC system after performing the check up. (During an air conditioner check up another man showed up and didn't indicate why he was there or introduce himself. He did no work, but listened to the sales presentation of the technician.). The recommended improvements cost hundreds to thousands of dollars! The most annoying thing is that the customer must state REPEATEDLY that they're not interested before the technician will leave."

"They were great in every aspect. They have followed up with me a couple times on their own after install just to check on my satisfaction with how the new shingles are holding up."

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in West Lafayette, IN

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
