"I wanted to extend my thanks to Brighton Pools for the great job they did on my pool remodel. My pool is a 25-year-old gummite pool that needs a lot of work. It needed new coping stone, water line tile, skimmer, and new plaster to get it back to new condition. Gary with Brighten Pools kept me informed the whole way through, and most importantly stayed on schedule. There was a lot to this job, but Brighton Pools got it done in record time. Brighton Pools contractors were professional and courteous and carried out their tasks without any problems. Thank you, Gary, my pool looks great,"

"Great company to work with.  We requested an estimate on a 6 foot privacy fence that would keep our dogs from getting out. <br /> The estimate was by far the best out of multiple companies we talked too.  They started the job the same week and did an excellent job.  They worked with us in installing the fence the way we wanted so we wouldn't have to worry any more about our dogs getting out.  Everything was cleaned up when they left.  Very professional and efficient.  We hope to use them again in the spring for some landscaping we would like to have done.  <br />"

"I initially met with Jay to go over all the various details of the items I wanted done. I really liked working with jay as he not only gave me a lot of detailed information about the work to be done, but he really listened to my requirements and adjusted his plans/etc. accordingly. I really felt like I was working <strong>with</strong> him on coming up with the best options. Among other things, we had a very complicated issue with our foyer and switches that were opposite of what they should have been to switch an outlet (not a light) in the foyer and one to switch the lights for the 2nd floor stairwell. After the initial consultation, we had several "discussions" via emails. Jay wound up providing me with 3 different ranging in price so I could choose between the "ideal" solution (of light/switch placements) and something that may not be perfect, but would be less costly. <br /> Once we decided on how to proceed. I was provided with a detailed proposal including the specific cost. We decided to proceed and we were scheduled for the work about a week or so later when it fit in our schedule - as the work would occur over two days. The solution we choose was going to take a fair amount of re-wiring and also several cuts into existing drywall (which I planned on repairing).  Jay indicated he was going to send out an experienced crew to handle this work. The team (of two) he sent out did an excellent job. Furthermore, they respected our house/kids/dog and also kept things clean. When there were any questions with how to proceed, they would give me a detailed explanation and asked for my input. All the work - esp. the foyer/stairwell - came out as good or better than I imagined. (Those switches had bugged since we had moved into the  house!). <br /> We were completely pleased with this work and in fact, called them out for a bit more work (small job) about a month or so later - which was also done very well. <br /> I would highly recommend Blue Jay Electric and will definitely se them for my future electric projects."

"They do anything that is not simple stuff. They do all of my car work and are excellent. They will take the time to look at the car, listen and talk to me and do not pressure me into buying anything. They do the job right the first time and I do not have to come back. It is a one time thing. There prices are what you would expect. They meet or are under their estimate. I went somewhere else for an oil change once. They told me the rack and pinion was bad. I took it back to Eldersburg and they looked at it. It just had a bad hose and they replaced it. If I need work done that they do not do then they will find a place and have it repaired for me. They are friendly and nice. We recommend them to everyone."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in West River, MD

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
