He replaced a bulkhead door, an interior door between the basement and bulkhead, and an exterior storm door, all with odd shapes and sizes in a 19th century colonial that required a little ingenuity and a couple of trips to the hardware store. He's also quick to offer suggestions on other things he can help with: not in a pushy way, just pointing out the kinds of services he would be able to provide in other areas of carpentry and masonry. He pointed out that he could also replace some wooden pickets on the fence which I needed to have done but didn't think about asking him as getting the gate repaired was more important. He came out on Friday morning and repaired the gate and replaced pickets as well as secure a section of fencing. He did a great job. Bertie was very polite and punctual.
